Everyone has moments in their lives when they feel stressed, depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed .Sometimes people struggle with difficult relationships. My goal is to help all people get through these trying times. I view therapy as a collaboration between myself and my client where we will work together to identify issues and meet their goals. I view all clients as individuals and therefore alter my style to meet specific needs. I strive to do this in a compassionate, supportive, interactive, problem solving approach. Every person's situation is unique. Solving your issues and empowering change is important to me.
I offer personalized support using evidence-based methods to guide you through your mental health journey. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, navigating family conflicts, or feeling overwhelmed by academic pressures, I'm here to provide the comfort and guidance you need to thrive. Together, we'll explore strategies tailored to your unique needs, helping you find clarity, resilience, and peace of mind.
My first priority is that you feel SAFE in this space. We won't dive into the deep end on day one. Instead, we’ll go at your pace, focusing on building a space where you feel safe enough to exhale first. My goal isn’t to 'fix' you (because I don't believe that you are broken), but to partner with you in figuring out what’s getting in the way of the life you want. I specialize in working with people who are skeptical of the therapy process, nervous about opening up, or people who haven't had the best experiences in the past with treatment and maybe think therapy isn't for them. Additionally, most of my clients come to me with issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and addiction. Kix is a therapy dog who joins me at work every day too and would be happy to join you in session! But don't worry - he can also take a nap during your session if you prefer.

As a former high school teacher, I have helped adolescents as they transition into adulthood. Now as a therapist, I enjoy working with individuals and couples through transitions of all kinds. I can help navigate the big life changes adolescents face, issues within family dynamics (family and marital issues), and issues that come with career changes and aging. I am an excellent resource for those suffering with anxiety, depression and BPD, especially those newly diagnosed with BPD. I am here to listen non-judgmentally and cheerlead you in your progress and growth while providing you skills and tools to get there. I use a skill-based approach to help clients learn and grow in their emotional wellness. I also incorporate a lot of mindfulness as clients learn to name and express their emotions. Sometimes we simply need someone who is in our corner and I hope to be that for you. I am queer-affirming and available to new clients, both in-person and virtually. I work with clients who are going through life or identity transitions and for those feel alone, anxious, depressed, haunted by their past, or trapped in their tangled thoughts. I also specialize in personality disorders and/or religious trauma. Education on social justice issues, including racial, cultural, LGBTQ+, and religious differences, is a top priority for me. Not all human experiences can be expressed verbally, so I am trained in both traditional talk therapy and offer art therapy as well. My guidance typically involves reframing thoughts, building assertiveness, identifying/managing emotions, trauma-informed care, harm reduction models, and processing experiences. I am also one of the only therapists in Indiana who identifies as a pagan and secular provider. If you are looking for a non-religious therapist who understands growing up in a religious environment, reach out!
