I work with creatives of all kinds who've experienced trauma or are navigating high stress environments. I have immediate daytime openings for clients anywhere in Indiana and Missouri.
We are a small practice of four Mental Health Counselors who provide excellent psychotherapy care for a variety of patients. We accept most major forms of health insurance, as well as Medicaid, and self-pay on a sliding fee scale. We are centrally located just North of 86th on Meridian Street in Indianapolis. We offer in-person therapy in our quiet and comfortable space, but can also provide telehealth sessions if necessary. Currently, we are all accepting new patients.

Most of us feel frustrated, unappreciated, and lonely at times. I'm here to help you move through the rough patches with better skills to cope for the next time. I help clients heal from the past, embrace change, and recognize their strengths. All of this help us to find our confidence again and enjoy better relationships personally and professionally. Alecia earned her bachelor’s degree in Family Science from Anderson University and her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of Indiana. Alecia has worked previously with individuals, couples, and families in a community-based setting as well as serving children and families within a local school system. With a focus both on the individual and the systems and spaces in which people live, she works with those managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, transition of life stages, relationship challenges and changes, and managing stressors throughout life. Alecia specializes in using a strengths-based model and person-centered approach, with the belief that each client comes as an expert in their own life and experience. With the desire for each client, family and couple to find empowerment and meaningful experience, Alecia utilizes aspects of Motivational interviewing (MI), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a family/systems model. She hopes to create a safe, empathetic, and comfortable environment with a trauma-informed approach. Alecia currently works with children as young as 6 and those seeking care throughout all stages of life through individual, couples, and family therapy.
Transitioning into college can bring up a lot of emotions/feelings. It is often difficult to sort everything out. I find that I am able to provide college students with coping tools to help them achieve goals for themselves within and even outside of the university setting. Please let me help and be a part of your informal support system. I specialize in trauma and am certified in EMDR therapy. I also specialize in anxiety and trained in ERP. I incorporate a lot of IFS into treatment as well.
My main areas of focus are working with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, codependency, gender identity, emotional regulation, ADHD, Autism, and relationship issues. I use a lot of psychoeducation to help you build yourself a toolbox of resources to help you get through the demands of college courses. An Indiana native, I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis. I have extensive experience providing treatment to youth and families with complex needs. My areas of expertise include mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, emotion regulation, and family conflict. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, and residential care. My approach to therapy is collaborative and personalized with a healthy dose of humor. I integrate concepts from a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to best meet the needs of my clients.
