Seeking help is challenging. Having to share thoughts and feelings with people can be intimidating. Having to talk to someone you don’t know can be intimidating. Stranger danger! However, like many things in life, it's not as hard as it seems. I work with people who feel overwhelmed with their thoughts and stress. The person who feels stuck. Overthinking leads to anxiety, anxiety leads to avoidance, and avoidance leads to feeling unhappy. Let's break that cycle!
Maybe it's because you don't feel good enough. Maybe it's because someone you care about deeply has broken your heart. Or maybe it's because you just can't seem to figure out your place in life. The list of maybe's could go on and on. But, whatever your "maybe" might be, we're here for you. At Abundant Living we're here to walk with you through those tough times in life. We offer a welcoming and safe space to just be you. Being a college student can be overwhelming and stressful. If you find yourself feeling lost and wondering how to manage it all, give us a call. We'd be honored to explore how we might be able to help.
You’ve spent so much time being who everyone needed you to be and have drifted away from who YOU need to be for YOU. On the outside everything looks fine… you’re the “strong” one, you’re handling “business”, and you show up for everyone. BUT On the inside you may wish you had a “you”, are experiencing guilt/shame that you’re not where you are supposed to be in life, or maybe you are feeling overwhelmed from overthinking every detail. Life be life-ing, and sometimes we need someone to help us navigate, or a place to simply, just be. At my practice, Bloom House Therapy and Wellness, I love guiding teen girls and women to see life from a new angle. I am a firm believer in the fact we teach people how to treat us, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you rediscover self-care and figure out how you want to treat yourself. Together, we'll silence that inner critic and build relationships that nourish your soul, empowering you to reach your full potential. My therapy style is authentic and down to earth, innovative, and empowering. I get it sis, I know first hand the ups and downs of navigating life’s transitions, I will meet you where you are, and together we will navigate the road to you living your BEST authentic life. Live and Thrive Counseling is my private practice in the community of Carrollton, Georgia. My office is close to the downtown area, but given the covid-19 changes in our daily living practices, my sessions are now fully online. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that are struggling with depression, anxiety, poor body image, life transitions, self esteem issues, and trauma. As a registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 200) and a licensed professional counselor, I enjoy using the cognitive behavioral modality, given its heavy emphasis on mindfulness and cognitive restructuring. In addition to CBT concepts, sessions often include breathing exercises and relaxation strategy practice that the client can eventually learn to practice on his or her own to promote positive self care and healthy coping skills.
