Hi! I'm Brittney, a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Reflection and Grace Counseling, offering telehealth therapy to students throughout Texas. College is new territory to navigate for anyone. You're managing your own schedule, navigating new relationships, and maybe questioning everything you thought you knew about yourself — all while submitting your assignments by 11:59pm before it's late. If you've noticed a little more anxiety creeping in, more self-doubt than you expected, or a general sense that everyone else has it "all figured out"...that's actually really normal. And also a great time to talk to someone. I work with adults who are tired of shrinking themselves to keep the peace and ready to build a relationship with themselves that actually feels real. My approach is warm, grounded, and judgment-free. You don't have to perform okayness here. This chapter is a big one. Let's make sure you're not navigating it alone.
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I obtained both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler. I have over 11 years of experience in nursing working in various fields and with a variety of patient populations. I have experience working with patients needing mental health services both inpatient and outpatient. I am dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mental health concerns by increasing access to those needing mental health treatment while providing support, compassion, and understanding. I am here for the patient and want to ensure that all his or her needs are met. I have a passion for working in mental health services and genuinely care about each individual. I listen to his or her concerns and history to develop a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan with the patient. The patients preferences and needs will lead the treatment approach initially and going forward. I include the patient in all aspects of care. Listening to his or her concerns, symptoms, and history is an important starting point in developing a diagnosis. The diagnosis is thoroughly discussed with the patient and I will answer any questions that present. Following the diagnosis, a plan of care is developed with the patients input. Patient preferences for therapy, medication, or both, are included in the treatment plan, and any referrals necessary will be made. Medication, if necessary and agreed upon, will be called in to the patients preferred pharmacy and any remaining questions or concerns will be addressed. A follow-up visit to assess ongoing effectiveness of the treatment plan will be made. At consecutive appointments, any necessary changes to the treatment plan will be made. However, I am available for concerns, questions, or needs that may arise prior to follow-up visits when needed.

Hi, I’m Chioma Onuorah, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I understand that college and graduate school can be exciting, but they can also bring stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, and uncertainty. I provide a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can openly discuss what’s been weighing on you. As a student intern, I offer your first 3 sessions free, with sessions after that at $25. I work best with students who feel stuck between who they've been and who they're becoming — figuring out a major, questioning a career path, or navigating the pressure of what comes after graduation. A lot of my clients are dealing with the stress of balancing school, work, and relationships all at once, and wondering if they're 'doing it right.' I also connect well with students who think or process differently than what's expected of them, and who are tired of feeling like they have to fit into a box that wasn't built for them. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. We'll work together to figure out what's actually going on and what might help — at your pace, without judgment.
I help college and graduate students navigate relationships, family expectations, identity, academic and career stress, and major life transitions. My approach is relational, culturally responsive, and grounded in helping you better understand yourself and your patterns so you can feel more connected, confident, and clear about what comes next. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist with a background in both mental health and law, I understand that the challenges students face often involve more than one part of their lives. I provide a supportive space to work through relationships, belonging, cultural or family pressures, uncertainty, and change.
