I am a licensed clinical social worker providing evidence-based, culturally responsive teletherapy for adults. Together, we focus on helping you build distress tolerance, dismantle people-pleasing patterns, cultivate healthy self-compassion, and establish firm, protective boundaries in your personal, academic, and professional life. My approach is collaborative, direct, and warm. We will work at a pace that honors your story while equipping you with practical, actionable skills you can use outside of session to regain agency over your life.

If you are trying to figure out who you are and where you’re headed, you are not alone. This stage of life can feel exciting one minute and overwhelming the next. You might look like you have it together on the outside, but inside you are stressed, anxious, burned out, or unsure of yourself. The students I work best with are thoughtful, self-aware, and trying hard to ā€œdo things right.ā€ You care about your future. You want meaningful relationships. You want to succeed. But you may also feel pressure from family, academics, social media, or your own expectations. Maybe you overthink everything. Maybe you procrastinate and then criticize yourself for it. Maybe you feel lonely even when you are surrounded by people. Some of the students I work with are: -Adjusting to college life or struggling with the transition -Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly ā€œon edgeā€ -Navigating identity questions around career, relationships, culture, or sexuality -Recovering from a breakup or friendship shift -Dealing with perfectionism or fear of failure -Questioning whether they’re ā€œgood enoughā€ In our work together, we create space to slow down and really listen to what’s going on beneath the surface. Therapy is something we build together, a place to be honest, ask hard questions, and try new ways of coping. We will make sense of what you’re feeling, practice tools to manage stress and self-doubt, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded and more like your own. You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to reach out. If you’are willing to show up as you are, we can start from there.

Life is hard! I get it, and more importantly, I get you. Therapy doesn't have to be hard. Sometimes you just need some extra set of eyes on your life with genuine concern and wide expertise. What type of clients found the most success with you thus far? Therapy doesn't work like that with me. Counseling is a personal process. But if you're willing to be goal set, grow, and experience counseling in a non-"bad and bougie" sort of way. Then come check me out!!!!

Do you find yourself thinking, "Something is wrong. Why am I feeling this way?" Do you have times when you feel overwhelmed and tense? Are you afraid of failing and that you will never feel good enough? I want to help ease your anxiety and walk with you through your depression. I'll help shine some light on your concerns, so that you will not have to feel alone in your thoughts and feelings. We're going to figure this out together. My role as your therapist is to help you gain the knowledge of your symptoms, the skills to ground and calm your body and mind, and the supportive resources within yourself and your environment to create the life you desire. Together, we will address where your concerns began and led you to where you are now. Shedding light on how your anxieties and depression were created can be a powerful and healing experience. My ultimate goal is for you to have discrete tools and techniques that you can use wherever you may be. I have had the opportunity to work in multiple settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient centers, autism clinics, private practice, a school, & a non-profit agency; this has led me to tailor my counseling techniques for each unique individual in their environment. I would be honored to guide you through this journey, whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, life transitions, or relational difficulties.

Our time together will be spent figuring the aspects- emotional, intellectual, sensory-based, and behavioral- of life through out your own story. Growing into learning how to listen to yourself so you can trust what it is you know, and what it is you need will be at the core of each session so that the feelings of stress, overwhelm, anxiousness, depression no longer keep you detached from yourself. The tools I use are done with cultural considerations, and by acknowledging the extra burdens social constructs and systemic environments put on you. I start with listening and being a witness to your story. With your consent, I use therapeutic tools to assist you in taking an objective stance in your story, and in offering yourself compassion. Continuing through developing and honing in on how you understand your experience through strengthening the connection between your mind and body. I am also trained in and have used EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) with children, teens, adults of both the neurodiverse (Autism, ADHD, etc.) and neurotypical populations. EMDR is used in session, with your consent, when you feel the need to address larger internal hurdles such as phobias or trauma(s) (also known as PTSD or C-PTSD). All of the work will be done at your pace and with your specific needs in mind. I am an affirming counselor and believe counseling should be for everyone. I understand the systemic pressure that can have you trying to ā€œget it right!ā€ A benefit to you may be my stance on de-stigmatizing mental health by avoiding rigid diagnoses and accepting that there is more than one way to live and thrive in this/your world. Ā I will be ready when you are. Until then, good luck on your search. My license number is #93296. I am supervised by Stamatis Bogdanos, LPC-S | #64556 in Houston, Tx. If you are under 18 and in need of a resource(s), here is a link to an article that may be able to help you find support: Ā https://www.teenlife.com/blog/mental-health-resources-for-teens/

Psychiatrist
Dallas, TX

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For me, being a physician is more than a profession—it is a vocation to help indviduals flourish. My practice is devoted to students and young adults seeking thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that extends beyond symptom relief. I provide comprehensive evaluations that consider medical, nutritional, lifestyle, and psychological factors—including laboratory testing when clinically appropriate—to identify the contributors to emotional and cognitive health. I also specialize in evidence-based de-prescribing for patients who wish to reduce or discontinue psychiatric medications for anxiety, attention difficulties, or substance use disorders. My approach is guided by precision, humility, and restraint: using the least intensive intervention necessary while drawing upon the full breadth of evidence-based medicine. Depending on each patient's needs and goals, I integrate psychotherapy, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, exercise, targeted supplementation, and, when appropriate, carefully selected medications into a personalized treatment plan. In addition to my clinical work, I have presented internationally on psychiatric deprescribing and medical ethics. My work has been recognized with awards from the American Psychiatric Association, the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, the American Psychoanalytic Association, and other leading professional organizations. I am the Founder & Medical Director of Verigrate Health. I am licensed to serve patients in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.
