At Severance Therapy, we’re proud to be a diverse collective of clinicians and staff—some of whom identify within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, and others who are fierce, informed allies deeply committed to this community. What unites us is a shared dedication to providing affirming, culturally competent care in a space where authenticity is celebrated, not questioned. Many of our clinicians bring personal experience with addiction recovery, sexual identity exploration, and the complexities of queer life—from coming out and dealing with internalized stigma to navigating sobriety in a culture that often centers around substances. Others have spent their professional lives walking alongside queer clients and communities, engaging in continual learning, advocacy, and personal reflection to be the kind of allies who show up loudly and consistently. Our team includes LGBTQIA+ therapists and allied professionals from a range of racial, cultural, and gender identities. Some are in long-term recovery. Some are sex-positive and kink-aware. Some bring academic expertise, while others bring years of boots-on-the-ground experience in queer spaces, harm reduction, and sober living. Together, we offer a dynamic, compassionate, and deeply relatable therapeutic environment—because we know healing happens best when you feel seen, heard, and understood by people who truly get it. You’re the strong one — the responsible one — the one who learned early how to hold it together. You navigate different spaces, code-switching when needed, carrying family expectations while trying to build relationships that feel healthy and secure. You’re self-aware, but old attachment patterns still show up. You’re ready to understand what shaped you and create connection that feels safe, mutual, and authentic. I provide trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy for Black and Brown Millennials and Gen Z adults and couples. Using EMDR and relational therapy, we process generational and relational wounds so you can shift patterns at their root — not just manage the symptoms. You don’t have to keep carrying everything alone. Many of your patterns were learned for survival — they make sense. Therapy offers space to unlearn what no longer serves you and build something healthier. If you’re ready for intentional, culturally responsive depth work, I invite you to reach out.
Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker who practiced in a college counseling setting for over 4 years and I have 15 years of counseling experience total. I continue to work with college students in my private practice and I enjoy working with people to better manage anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, grief, life transitions, relationship, concerns, and general stress. My practice is body positive and LGBTQ+, immigrant, and international student supportive and affirming. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for processing fears, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. I use various types of therapy, including ACT, CBT, DBT skills, somatic therapy, schema therapy, ERPT, narrative therapy, and person centered therapy, but I tailor sessions to what works best for you. I also welcome your feedback in the process. I strongly encourage coming to therapy in the way that you are most comfortable - meaning, swear if you feel the need, don't apologize for eating in sessions if you are hungry, show up in your pajamas - whatever. As long as you are safe and comfortable and you are able to talk privately, I support it. I offer a free 15 minute consultation call to see if we are a good fit, because having a therapist you trust and match with is paramount. I offer virtual telehealth sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I offer in person sessions in Kingwood, Texas on Wednesdays. Please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to connect and I wish you the best in your therapist search!

My experience in diverse settings, including hospitals and schools, has shown me that no matter where you are in life, having compassion and support makes all the difference. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively with each client to tailor strategies that fit their unique needs and aspirations. I utilize a cognitive behavioral framework, integrating motivational interviewing, solution focused strategies, and a person-centered approach to support meaningful and lasting change. Together, we can work towards finding confidence, balance, and growth.
I am a License Clinical Social Worker and I believe seeking mental health help is one of the hardest thing you will have to do, but can have long benefits if you are willing to put in the work with assistance and guidance. For the past 4 years I have been helping kids, adolescents, young adults and adults with anxiety, depression, and stress in group and individual therapy. My goal is to help my clients overcome their struggles and find their inner strength they may have lost. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I strongly believe in helping to create a safe, secure, warm, empathetic, and care-free therapeutic environment that allows my clients to feel seen, heard, and validated.
I look forward to working with people who are ready to make changes in their lives and engage in the therapeutic process. Much of my sessions include discussing goal setting and thinking of various tools and techniques to achieve those goals. I utilize CBT methods, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches to help all clients realize their ability for change and understand they can achieve happiness and alleviate things like anxiety and depression.
You feel like anxiety has crept into all areas of your life. You avoid decisions or situations that feel overwhelming, and instead turn to any distraction (mindless eating, social media, drinking, etc.) you can find to avoid the shame and guilt of not moving forward. Maybe you're struggling with body image and wonder if you're relationship with food and exercise is normal. Your fear of failure keeps you stuck in your personal and professional life, and in relationships. I work with young adults who feel trapped by anxiety and their fear of failure, find freedom in their relationships, academic and career life and from negative body image. I believe that therapy can create long-lasting, meaningful change in this pivotal point in life.
Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you. My practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families, and through years of experience, I’m confident that no problem is too great to overcome. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both right now and in the future.
You're an adult who grew up without the emotional nurturing you needed by having a distant parent, inconsistent caregiving, or years spent being the strong one. You desired love, but received mental and emotional pain from people you trusted. Now, these early wounds are showing up as anxiety, self-doubt, depression, overthinking, trauma-responses, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected and lost. You want peace, clarity, wholeness, and the ability to break generational patterns so you can show up fully, with purpose, and thrive in life as an adult, a partner, a parent, and/or a professional. I help adults heal from the impact of childhood emotional wounds using a trauma-informed, faith-integrated approach. I work towards guiding adults to rebuild self-trust, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and create an inner safety they've always deserved. I provide a therapeutic and transformational frame through individual, couples, and group work. You don't have to keep carrying these wounds alone. Healing is possible. It is time to experience a safe space where your story is honored without judgment. If you're ready for supportive work that helps you to feel whole again, I'd be honored to walk with you on this journey. Let's take the next step together.

Hi, I’m glad you’re here. College can be exciting—but also overwhelming. If you're feeling stuck, stressed, or unsure about your next steps, you're not alone. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I’ve spent 25 years working with students as a Dean and Provost. I understand the pressure to succeed, the identity questions, and the quiet burnout that can come with trying to do it all. I work best with students who are thoughtful, motivated, and ready to talk things through—even if they’re not sure where to start. Whether you're navigating a big transition, feeling anxious or lost, or just need a space to breathe and be real, I’m here to help. No judgment. No jargon. Just support that makes sense for where you are right now. Let’s talk—you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

WELCOME! I'm so glad you're here. Many of the people I work with are adults who’ve carried more than their fair share — the ones who look capable on the outside but feel anxious or disconnected on the inside. They've usually spent years masking ADHD/AuDHD, are deeply sensitive, and/or are trying to heal from complex trauma (CPTSD). If this sounds like you, I want you to know you're not alone, and you don’t have to keep trying to “figure it out” by yourself. I won’t hand you a checklist or tell you to breathe it away - I promise! Therapy with me is about noticing what’s alive for you and finding ways to move through patterns that have kept you stuck. With over 25 years of experience, and decades dedicated to my own recovery, I offer both professional expertise and a deeply lived understanding to our sessions. I’m quirky, a little unconventional, and definitely human. In our work together, we'll go beyond simply talking about your life. I'll help you to shift out of over-thinking and connect with the wisdom of your heart and body. That’s where your strength and self-trust already live, and where the parts of you that know how to heal can be heard. My therapy dog, Leasel, often joins us, offering her calm presence when words aren’t enough. I draw from approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy, integrated with Conscious Living principles. This work helps us uncover patterns that have been shaping your experiences and guides you toward change that's meaningful and actually lasts. Why I May Be A Good Fit For You I believe complex trauma shapes how we connect and move through the world—but those patterns can soften when we’re met with compassion and someone who’s been there. I grew up in a family that looked good on the outside but was marked by addiction and narcissism and it taught me how essential it is to be seen for who we truly are. I'm passionate about helping sensitive people know that hope is real, no matter what. I believe healing happens when we can be honest with ourselves and experience real connection. I show up as a real person—warm and down-to-earth. I also believe animals and nature offer healing when words fall short. I care deeply about neurodivergent folks, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and creating space for anyone who’s ever felt like they're on the outside looking in. I look forward to connecting with you!
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and specialize in treating those with anxiety, life transitions, low self-worth, trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, life stressors, and negative body image. I utilize CBT, DBT, and a person-centered approach to ensure clients receive the best individualized treatment. I believe that everyone can benefit from counseling. My goal is to come alongside you, to provide a trusting, and uplifting environment where you can be vulnerable and transparent and know that I am in your corner to help support you in navigating the challenges that life has to offer.
I've spent 18 years working with teens as a high school counselor and teacher. Now as an LPC Associate, I use this previous experience to support adolescents and young adults as they navigate today's challenges. As a former educator, I have seen first hand the pressure that academics, social groups, and today's changing world can place on adolescents. Teens develop anxiety, stress, and negative coping skills to deal with this pressure. I help adolescents overcome these challenges by helping them explore their values, emotions, practice new coping strategies, and develop confidence that they will carry into adulthood.
