I work from the perspective that pain is a natural and inevitable part of life, I believe that our power lies in controlling the extent of our suffering. Recent years have been challenging, pushing many to seek healing and connection. I take joy in aiding others to make positive behavioral changes, using evidence-supported approaches that are customized to each individual's unique needs. My aim is to foster an environment of trust, care, and respect. Together, we will set therapeutic goals, devise a plan to achieve them, and help you develop tools to manage symptoms, overcome trauma, and enhance your overall well-being. I provide individual therapy with a primary focus on cognitive-behavioral orientation. My expertise lies in helping individuals navigate through anxiety and PTSD/trauma using evidence-supported therapies; however I can accommodate a wide range of needs. I cater to all adults aged 18+ and have specialized training in veteran care. Therapy can be one of life's most rewarding yet challenging experiences, but it doesn't have to be as intimidating as it sometimes may seem! I respect it likely took a lot of courage to seek help and I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, compassionate, and supportive environment. Please let me join you on your journey to self-discovery and healing.

Whether you're struggling with depression or anxiety, family transitions during pregnancy or postpartum, or just trying to have more effective, supportive, and fulfilling relationships, I'm here to help. You don't have to carry it alone anymore. My practice specializes in depression and anxiety. I have a particular interest in working with women during pregnancy and postpartum. Looking for something different in life, but unsure of how to get there? Together, we can open up new possibilities through mutual exploration. Attending to the therapeutic relationship is key in my approach to therapy, and I provide an empathic and safe environment that allows for exploration of experiences that may feel threatening or uncomfortable. My style of therapy draws from a blend of humanistic, constructivist, existential, relational, and psychodynamic approaches. I will work with you to explore how life experiences have contributed to you struggling to make meaning or feeling stuck, which may present itself in a variety of ways, such as depression, relationship issues, anxiety, and so on. I also incorporate a critical approach to psychotherapy that considers you and your experiences through a lens that includes the societal, political, and historical, which allows me to understand you holistically, within your context. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and my pets, going for hikes and spending time outdoors, collecting and listening to records, and playing my guitar.
My core values are faith, family, social and economic justice. My worldview is quite simple. You see, I believe that everyone has a right to be in a good place mentally physically and spiritually. I find that I have evolved into a change agent - which is a natural profession for a social worker. The same steps that I have taken to secure my life, mentally physically and emotionally, are the very same steps I am willing to assist my patients/clients in taking. My specialties lie in my abilities to move a person or a family from a place of dysfunction to functionality. I strive to improve the quality of life those whom I counsel. My theoretical framework a solution focused, interwoven with resiliency theory, using a strength-based approach. I am just a chat away if you need me – 'how may I help you?"
