I offer sessions that are client focused and curious. In our sessions, we co-create a space with compassion, creativity and humor to foster an environment where you can feel both safe and challenged to grow. I practice with a psychodynamic relational approach that is trauma-informed and socially aware of power and privilege, critical of psychological paradigms that pathologize suffering. I specialize in working with queer and trans clients with a particular focus on trauma, dissociation, and grief. I ground my work in an anti-oppressive and queer-affirming approach that acknowledges the many experiences we bring on both an individual and societal level.

Finding the right therapist matters, and starting therapy can feel vulnerable. I aim to create a warm, supportive space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered. My goal is for therapy to be both practical and reflective—a place for insight, growth, and genuine change. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion dysregulation, increased stress, and life transitions. I work with individuals at different stages of life, including adults, adolescents, and children, and I also support parents as they navigate their own challenges and transitions. My approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT and DBT. I believe therapy should move at a pace that honors where you are and what you’re ready for. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors connect, and work toward changes that feel both meaningful and sustainable. My background: I earned my doctorate degree (PsyD) in Combined School and Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. My professional experiences include work in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice settings, where I’ve provided evidence-based treatment to individuals across the lifespan. I also have experience supervising PhD/PsyD students and post-doctoral fellows.

While some clients enter therapy with specific goals and I am more than willing to be of assistance, I pride myself as a culturally competent and community values forward professional with an understanding that each client has a unique system of support and challenges. My experience has been rather eclectic in terms of population I have worked with, I have come to feel connected to adolescents and immigrants who require specific lens of care. As a bilingual therapist able to provide sessions in Mandarin and English, I am eager to be of support for fellow members of the community who struggle to assimilate or navigate in the metropolitan NYC area. I have more than 8 years of experience in outpatient mental health settings, half of which was spent as a case manager specialist and more than four years of experience as a clinician. I have worked closely and successfully with individuals, families, couples and groups across all ages and backgrounds. As an immigrant, queer woman of color, I find myself to be able to compassionately provide a mirroring comfort for clients of all identities but especially those who might share similar identities as me. I have found my clinical approach to blend from Gestalt, person-in-environment approach, and trauma informed lens. Throughout treatment, I also utilize a variety of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) interventions when skills training is in order and my style can be described as motivational but compassionate. My past clients know me well to be able to match their pace, using various analogies and references from books I am reading and humor to get to know them. I graduated from UGA with an undergrad Bachelor of Science from UGA in 2016 with two years of research experience during that time and received my master’s in social work from NYU Silver in 2020 with specialized training in community leadership. During my time as a mental health case manager, I have completed training in Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) motivational interviewing. In my previous clinical position as a LMSW, I received my Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training certificate in 2021, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills training in 2024, and my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2025.

Sometimes people reach out to therapy after a big life change, or sometimes with a sense that things feel off. Perhaps patterns keep repeating, emotions feel overwhelming or hard to reach, or a person feels disconnected from themself or others. If this resonates with you, please contact me today. As a psychodynamic therapist with more than four years of experience, I help adults better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can feel more present and fulfilled in their day-to-day life. My approach is psychodynamic and trauma informed to help you better navigate anxiety, depression, or major life changes while working toward deeper self-understanding and changes that feel meaningful in your everyday life. In each session, we explore how past experiences might be influencing the way you think, feel, and relate to others today. At the same time, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness to keep our work focused in the present, helping you notice patterns as they come up, shift unhelpful thoughts, and feel more grounded in everyday life. Prior to my role at SOL Mental Health, I worked for more than four years in community mental health in New York City. This experience deepened my commitment to providing warm, compassionate, and individualized care in a collaborative space where patients feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward with more clarity and intention. Outside of sessions, I enjoy reading, cooking, and intentional movement through exercising and taking long walks.

Hi! If you’re seeking out therapy, then it’s likely you’re a little nervous. If so, take a deep breath! I’m here to create a space where you feel safe and supported as you share your personal story. In therapy we will focus on practical skills for addressing your symptoms and explore how your story of self has been shaped by both current and past relationships. I enjoy working with emerging adults, adolescents, and anyone eager to build a “life worth living.” I believe that in healing there is room for humor. And that my authenticity allows us to do great work together. When I’m not working I love going to the dog park and watching reality tv. If you’re interested, please reach out and we can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit!
