Hello! I am currently ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS in RI, MA, and CT! It’s important to have a connection with someone who can help you work through difficult emotions. Oftentimes, we go through life on auto-pilot without ever learning how to manage stress or how to overcome new challenges. I am here to be present with you every step of the way, so that you can do the things you couldn't do before. I primarily work with undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral students. I particularly enjoy working with people who are struggling with social phobia, self-esteem, depression and anxiety. I have been working with college students over the past seven years. In our work together, I will spend time getting to know you and your long-term goals. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential. My clinical style is supportive and collaborative. I am flexible in tailoring treatment to suit your needs, with a primary emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. At Compassionate Healing, I offer you evidence-based therapy to help you become your “best self.” I incorporate different therapy styles that have been proven in research to be effective in treating various mental health problems. Whether you’re looking to address a recent life transition or hoping to address more chronic mental health concerns, I understand that beginning with a new therapist is a vulnerable, and often challenging, step to take. While I have an eclectic approach to therapy in order to meet the unique needs of each individual client, my approach is always warm, collaborative, laid-back, and client driven. I’m particularly passionate about working with adolescents and young adults struggling with self-injurious behaviors, suicidality, eating disorders, and trauma. I also have considerable experience working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Regardless of the unique circumstances that led you to seek therapy, I strive to help you feel seen, heard, and valued. I hope you’ll reach out so we can explore how I can help!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not like yourself lately, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I’m a nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, and I believe the best care happens when we work together. As a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, I look at your mental and physical health as parts of the same, connected story—not separate issues. In our work together, you can expect a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard. I take a holistic and individualized approach, helping you understand what’s behind your symptoms, explore treatment options in clear, practical terms, and build strategies that fit your life and goals. I’ve supported people from late adolescence through older adulthood as they navigate life’s transitions. I have worked with young adults facing career transitions and the stress that often comes with major life changes. I also help individuals manage depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders. Whether you’re continuing a treatment plan that’s already helping or seeking psychiatric care for the first time, I’ll meet you where you are. My goal is to help you feel respected, understood, and empowered to take an active role in your care.

I work with people from all walks of life who are ready to look inward, explore patterns, and make meaningful change. Together, we’ll address your goals—whether that’s managing symptoms, improving relationships, or finding a greater sense of purpose and peace. I believe therapy works best when it’s grounded in trust, curiosity, and collaboration. Because diagnoses are never one-size-fits-all, I approach mental health as a specific set of experiences in a complex world. I show up as my genuine self to show that therapy can truly be for anyone. Working with students is particularly important to me as it is a crucial part of a person's identity development. It can be one of the most challenging and important times in a person's life. I’m ready to work together to make your life feel like a place you want to be.
Life is full of transitions, some of our own choosing, others imposed upon us. The challenges involved in life altering experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming and therefore catalysts for common symptoms of anxiety and depression. This is when therapy can be especially helpful. I offer compassionate, client centered services designed to meet the individual where they are at while incorporating a mindful approach toward treatment. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand, cope with and resolve current challenges at hand. I have 20 years of clinical experience working with adults, families, couples, children and adolescents. My areas of expertise include a dialectical, evidenced based approach in treating symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, divorce, D.V., grief and loss, relational issues etc. Credentialed in a Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). I offer a variety of techniques in therapy while striving to build trust in the therapeutic relationship. These are likely to include dialogue, interpretation, mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, reframing, relaxation techniques, guided imagery, self-monitoring exercises, exploring family of origin, attachment, systems theory, multicultural frameworks, oppression awareness etc.

I strongly value the client/therapist relationship and work to create an empathic, calm, accepting and safe environment for all my clients.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a deep passion for working with young adults. I believe the early adult years are some of the most important—and often most misunderstood—seasons of life. Rather than something to simply “get through,” I view this stage as a powerful period of identity formation, growth, and possibility. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After spending a year living abroad, I went on to receive her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. Throughout my graduate training and post-master’s clinical work, I have supported youth and families across a range of settings, including in-home therapy, group home care, outpatient clinics, and municipal mental health. I understand that young adulthood can feel overwhelming—whether it’s anxiety, relationships, school, or simply trying to figure things out. Therapy with me is a place to slow things down and make sense of what’s going on. Sessions feel like a real conversation, where clients can explore their experiences, connect patterns, and develop strategies that are actually useful in everyday life. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported as they navigate this stage.
