About me: I have a strong belief in therapy because I've successfully used it. I've had my own personal exploration into suffering and I've made my way out of these fogs by utilizing the support of others. It is my experience that no one lives their best life alone. Connection has the capacity to offer regulation and engender strength. I honor my sense of humanity that allows me to tend and befriend others, and take joy in my sense of playfulness that can bring a smile or a laugh to someone at the just the right moment. About my work: I work through an integrated lens, currently drawing on EFT, neuroscience, mindfulness, and positive psychology to explore how lifestyle, relationships, and early experiences shape our wellbeing. I also use the power of storytelling to help reframe the limiting narratives we carry about ourselves. Lately, I've been doing meaningful work with clients navigating OCD tendencies, using approaches including ERP and ACT. I am also working to expand my expertise through continued education in somatic approaches, chronic illness and premenstrual disorders, to support the full complexity of what my clients carry. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, to help people trust themselves again, and to help them recommit to life — through the big things and the small. About my credentials: I graduated from Lesley University with a MA in Mental Health Counseling in 2018. I am a Massachusetts licensed mental health counselor with experience in a variety of outpatient therapeutic settings. I welcome your questions.

Accepting NEW Clients! Welcome! If life stressors, anxiety, trauma, or thoughts about food or body image are a persistent concern, it might be the right time to take that brave first step toward seeking support. I understand that setting up a therapy appointment can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to make the process as comforting as possible and collaborate with you to achieve your therapeutic aspirations. My approach warmly welcomes those with a genuine curiosity, aiming to nurture self-compassion and prioritize your well-being amidst challenges like anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, and/or self-criticism. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is committed to the principles of Health At Every Size (HAES) and believe that every body is worthy of respect and care. I utilize concepts from intuitive eating and my background in dance to help my clients develop a better relationship with their bodies, food, movement, and over all well-being. I have experience working in PHP and IOP levels of care with adults and adolescents in eating disorder treatment. More specifically, I provided individual sessions, family sessions, treatment planning, referrals, collateral calls, as needed. Additionally, I have worked in college counseling programs to provide individual therapy in a short term model.

I believe that each and every one of us is the expert of our own lives, but sometimes we feel overwhelmed and need guidance as we navigate life's challenges. This gets more challenging if you're an LGBTQ+ person in the south, but working with an affirming, competent therapist can make a big difference. I help transgender folx and other members of the LGBTQ+ community explore their identity, develop self-esteem, and improve their relationships. My approach to therapy is queer competent, gender affirming, sex positive, kink affirming, and poly affirming. I strive to create a safe space for my clients to explore their problems fully without fear of judgment. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be able to stand by my clients as they courageously make changes necessary to live fulfilling lives. In addition to individual therapy, I also offer comprehensive assessments and letters of support for transgender folx who are seeking gender-affirming surgeries.

Hi! Welcome to the start of something great. Deciding to do therapy can initially be scary however, I look at therapy as just having a conversation and figuring some stuff out along the way. If you are feeling stressed about new things in life, experiencing new or intense emotions, or just needing someone to listen and build understanding then please feel free to reach out!

My approach is warm, energetic, and client-centered. I believe that no two clients are the same, so therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I strive to tailor each session to the individual, meeting clients where they are and focusing on what they need in that moment. Together, we create an approach that reflects each client's goals, readiness for change, and unique strengths to move forward and gain confidence.

I recognize how challenging it can be to know how to identify and best support your own needs. School, work, relationships, and other life stressors can be overwhelming, sometimes to the point of feeling lost or stuck in our tracks. At times, even our physical, bodily experiences of sadness, anxiety, etc., may feel disconnected from our logical, rational thoughts. During these times, it is helpful to have someone who will work collaboratively and therapeutically with you to help you address your concerns, gain insight into your thoughts and feelings, and restore your sense of balance and "wholeness" back into your life. I believe that it is never too late to be the best versions of ourselves, and we all have the right to live authentically!

Her vast experience spans across multiple settings and states, with a significant emphasis on acute care, addressing the needs of people across different age groups and objectives. While Michelle is knowledgeable in a variety of therapeutic modalities, she believes that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution. In partnership with her clients, she explores personalized techniques and skills that resonate with their unique experiences and aspirations. By cultivating a trauma-informed space, she ensures every client feels safe, valued, and genuinely heard throughout their therapeutic journey. Moreover, Michelle's strengths-based approach empowers clients, helping them harness their inherent potential and pave the way toward their goals. With her, therapy is a collaborative effort, placing equal weight on understanding one's present as much as visualizing and working toward the desired future. Michelle's commitment to inclusivity and individualized care is evident in her extensive training with reputable institutions such as the Transgender Training Institute, Open Sky, and MaMHCA. Beyond formal education, she constantly seeks out diverse resources to refine her expertise, ensuring her approach is both informed and empathetic. College can look exciting and successful from the outside while feeling overwhelming behind the scenes. You may be struggling with anxiety, academic pressure, perfectionism, relationship concerns, family expectations, or uncertainty about who you are and what comes next. Maybe others see you as responsible, driven, or strong, but you feel exhausted from trying to keep everything together. I work with college students who are used to putting pressure on themselves, taking care of others, or feeling as though they must always perform well. Therapy can be a space where you do not have to have all the answers. Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns contributing to your stress, strengthen your confidence, and help you develop healthier boundaries, relationships, and coping skills. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. Whether you are adjusting to college, navigating friendships or dating, questioning your identity, managing family stress, or preparing for life after graduation, I will support you in gaining clarity and feeling more grounded. Contact me for a free consultation to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

Welcome to Insights Psychological Services. College and graduate school can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be juggling academic pressure, relationships, career decisions, family expectations, identity, and the constant feeling that you should be doing more—or handling it all better. At Insights, we provide virtual therapy for college students, graduate students, young adults, professionals, and couples throughout Massachusetts. Our therapists take a warm, relational approach to therapy. We believe that feeling understood, comfortable, and genuinely connected with your therapist is an important part of creating meaningful and lasting change. **We are currently welcoming new clients with Dr. Samantha Jackson, our postdoctoral fellow at Insights.** Dr. Jackson provides a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative space for clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wanting to understand themselves more deeply. She especially enjoys working with college and graduate students, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout, and major life transitions. Dr. Jackson takes a relational and psychodynamically informed approach, helping clients explore not only what they are experiencing, but also the patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be contributing to how they feel today. Her goal is to create a space where clients can feel genuinely heard and comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful change. More broadly, our clinicians at Insights frequently work with anxiety, depression or low mood, ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, stress, panic, OCD tendencies, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, family-of-origin issues, trauma, and major life transitions. We also support clients exploring racial and cultural identity, gender and sexual identity, sexual health, neurodivergence, and religious or existential concerns. Therapy doesn't have to be another place where you're expected to have everything figured out. It can be a space to slow down, better understand yourself and your patterns, work through what's getting in the way, and develop healthier ways of navigating your relationships and your life. **Dr. Jackson currently has immediate telehealth openings for new clients.** We offer a **free 20-minute consultation** so you can meet with us, ask questions, and see whether Dr. Jackson—or another therapist at Insights—feels like the right fit. To learn more about Insights or request a consultation, visit [www.insightspsychologicalservices.org](http://www.insightspsychologicalservices.org). We look forward to connecting with you. *Dr. Samantha Jackson is a postdoctoral fellow at Insights Psychological Services and practices under clinical supervision.*
