You have always given your all in your relationships. Whether it was with your parent, friends, or intimate partners; you wanted healthy relationships in your life. However, you often ended up feeling like you were not enough for any of them. You often felt rejected and disposable. You didn’t realize that this would impact you, but it has. Now, you often isolate yourself or just remain in relationships with toxic people who often use you for what they need and discard you. You have never felt good enough and often wondered if you would truly ever be loved adequately. However, you are enough and deep down you know that. And I am here to help you discover it. My name is DeAvila and I am a Mental Health Psychotherapist. I aid my clients in understanding where the root of feeling inadequate started and how to heal from those experiences. The world has told you that you were someone else and the world was so wrong. I help my clients discover who they are and aid them in becoming who they choose to be. . DeAvila Sadé, LCSW, LSSW is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR Certified, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She enjoys working with young to middle-aged adults to help them uncover past traumas, process them, and let them go. DeAvila has a wealth of knowledge including, but not limited to: depression resolution, anxiety, grief, abuse, trauma resolution, life adjustments, stress management, self-care, etc. . Howdy! My name is A.B. and I’m a queer, nonbinary therapist born and raised right here in Texas. Don’t let the folksy exterior fool you: growing up in a small town taught me to treat strangers like family, to uplift and respect the folks around me, and, as my granddad always said, “If you can help ’em, then help ’em.” I’ve brought those values into my therapy work and left the bigotry and systemic oppression behind like the hogwash it is. I practice from a place of cultural humility, guided by the stories, strengths, and values my clients bring to the table. You’re the expert on your life, I’m just here to walk alongside you, bringing the tools I’ve got in my toolbelt to help you navigate whatever’s weighing you down. There’s nothing too big we can’t face together, and I trust that with you in the lead, we can work toward the outcomes you’re hoping for in therapy. I specialize in supporting clients through trauma, grief, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, neurodivergence, identity exploration, crisis recovery, and relationship challenges. I also love working with children and their families around emotional regulation, school and family stress, and communication. I’ve got a soft spot for neurodivergent kids (and adults!) and bring a lot of energy and creativity into that work. In session, I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused, narrative, and collaborative therapies, plus a lot more. So don’t be surprised if I throw in a little art-making, somatic work, or IFS (parts work) now and then. I’m committed to being a lifelong learner, and if something isn’t clicking, I’ll work with you to find what does. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2023, and before that, I got my B.A. in Theatre Education. So I’m definitely open to getting creative in sessions, though just plain talkin’ is great, too. Outside of therapy, I love baking, storytelling in all its forms (theatre, concerts, poetry slams, and tabletop RPGs), and learning about folks whose lives are different from mine. I also enjoy spending time with my partner and our beloved pets Pip, Charlie, and Winston. If you think I might be the right counselor for you, I’d be honored to meet you. Feel free to email me at ab@vadacounseling.com or schedule a free consultation online.

Hey there! If you're a college student dealing with anxiety, depression, or any other struggles, know that you're not alone. As a therapist with 20 years of experience, 15 of which have been spent working directly with clients like you, I've seen a lot of what you're going through. College can be a tough time, filled with transitions, family conflicts, and the weight of expectations. But guess what? It's okay to not be okay sometimes. It's normal to feel overwhelmed by job anxiety, financial stress, or the pressure to keep up appearances on social media. That's where therapy comes in. By talking things out with someone who understands and supports you, you can start to feel better. Together, we can work on building your confidence, improving your relationships, and finding healthier ways to cope with whatever life throws your way. So if you're ready to take your life and your goals to the next level, why not give therapy a shot? It could be the best decision you make for yourself. And remember, reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. I'm here for you whenever you're ready to talk. Take care, Kathryn

Do you find yourself constantly putting others first? Often at the expense of your own needs? Do you struggle to say “no” without guilt, or question your worth when you’re not being productive or perfect? You’re not alone. I work with women and teenage girls who feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, poor boundaries, and self-doubt; women & girls who are ready to reclaim their voice, reconnect with their identity, and finally start loving themselves deeply and unapologetically.

Hi, I’m Ashley (she/her)! I’m a licensed professional counselor with licenses in Mississippi and Texas. I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with my bachelor’s in psychology in 2017 and my master’s in counseling psychology in 2020. I’ve worked in different settings including telehealth, homes, schools, and an acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to expand your self-understanding. That allows us to develop healthier patterns and learn effective coping skills to help create lasting, positive change in a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your safety, growth, and autonomy are prioritized. I have experience supporting clients as they navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, dysfunctional patterns, and life transitions. I provide gender-affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive, culturally sensitive, person-centered therapy. I believe that each person that comes into this space deserves a treatment approach that is tailored to their unique needs and experiences. To help ensure that, I integrate key parts of various evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), strengths-based therapy, and compassion-focused therapy (CFT) to best meet your needs. I encourage and welcome transparent feedback so we can adjust our approach as needed. There is never a time that it’s too late to do something different or to start something new. Progress takes time, and it’s normal to have ups and downs while still making progress. My goal is to support you through your healing journey and help you become the version of you that you like best. “No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who hasn’t started.” Every day, we make a choice, to continue living in comfortable misery or to take even the smallest step toward being uncomfortably happier; but first, you must choose you.

In a world that often values toughness, being a highly sensitive and soft-hearted person can feel like a burden. We might say “yes” when we really mean “no”. And we may feel like we have to act differently to fit in, even if it means putting others before ourselves. Sometimes it can feel tough to find our inner courage, speak up for what we want, and create positive boundaries. This can be especially true when we’re striving for success in our careers, supporting our loved ones emotionally, or navigating big life changes. Through brainspotting, mindfulness, and somatic techniques, we’ll gently uncover the patterns that have kept you feeling stuck and build the self-trust needed to honor your own needs. As you release emotional weight and reconnect with yourself, you’ll cultivate resilience, confidence, and a deeper sense of balance in your life. If you’re ready to embrace your sensitivity, set healthier boundaries, and reconnect with yourself, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to create a life that feels balanced, authentic, and fulfilling. Reach out today to begin your journey toward healing and growth.

As a dually licensed practitioner with over 10 years of experience, I can understand how life's daily challenges, acute and chronic stress, traumatic experiences, and generational trauma can compound on a person, leaving them stranded in a complex maze without a clear path out. I have specialized training working with women, young adults and military families, trauma and abuse, family conflict, and co-parenting issues. Everyone struggles with relationship issues, anxiety/worry, work stress, substance use, or uncomfortable feelings. It can also be extremely difficult to find balance and perspective sometimes. My goal is to provide a safe and organized framework for identifying these problems and developing new skills or ways of thinking about them. Ultimately, I help my clients develop the tools needed to manage independently and live a life they're excited about. Due to the current state of the world, I'm also working with a lot of individuals who are feeling isolated and cut off from their "normal" support systems to help them manage life's issues. I grew up in the Dallas area, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in psychology. I then attended graduate school at Assumption University because of its affiliation with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. My clinical training was thus focused on a cognitive behavioral approach to treating mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder as well as substance abuse issues. I was also intensively trained during my internship in Dialectical-Behavior Therapy and I utilize this skills-based approach to help adolescents and adults struggling to build and maintain relationships, manage their emotions or crises effectively. My approach to therapy is problem-focused and very much operates in the present. I collaborate with clients to identify goals, develop skills, and implement them in a structured way. The area of focus in therapy tends to be on reframing thoughts or changing behaviors with the end goal of improving mood or circumstance.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Decatur, TX

Hi, I am Dani Manetta, LCSW—a Marine Corps veteran, therapist, and mom. I work with teens (13+), adults, and families navigating anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges, including co-parenting and blended family dynamics. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I offer structure when it’s needed and space when it’s time to process. Whether you’re a parent worried about your teen or an individual feeling overwhelmed or stuck, I’m here to help you build insight, confidence, and meaningful change. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I bring a mix of evidence-based tools, real-life perspective, and a strong belief that growth happens when we feel truly seen and supported. Whether you’re looking to process past pain, set boundaries, or just find your footing again, I’m here to help you feel more confident, capable, and connected. Whether you’re a teen, an adult, or a parent seeking support, the first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you here, what’s been on your mind or weighing you down, and what you hope to change or better understand. I’ll ask questions to get a fuller picture of your life, relationships, and experiences—but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. I know the first session can feel a little awkward or nerve-wracking, especially if therapy is new. That’s okay. My job is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and judgment-free. We’ll move at your pace, explore what matters most to you, and begin to build a plan together. You won’t leave with all the answers, but you will leave with a sense of clarity, direction, and—hopefully—relief that you’ve taken the first step

I attempt to gather information in an easy manner, not "drilling" questions so people can feel comfortable sharing. I inquire whether previous counseling has been attempted to understand prior experiences with therapy and how it was helpful or not. I am a hopeful, positive person and try to help others find their strengths, positivity and hope within them as well. I will ask what goals a client has for themselves for therapy and life so we can focus on achieving those goals. As an experienced therapist, I recognize that people have had difficulty in their lives and do not diminish their story or not discuss the "hard parts" while we try to find ways to heal.
