Most of the clients I work best with have one thing in common: they feel overwhelmed by the pressure to “have it all together,” especially around food, body image, and big life transitions. Many of them are students who look fine on the outside but are quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, or feeling disconnected from their bodies. I often work with people who: Feel guilty or stressed about eating and don’t know how to break the cycle Overthink food choices or feel “out of control” around food Are adjusting to a big life change (moving away from home, starting college, pregnancy/postpartum, major stress) Carry a lot of self-criticism and feel exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s expectations Want a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or misunderstood My clients tend to be caring, hard-working, sensitive, and often the “strong one” in their friend group. They’re usually trying to balance school, relationships, and their own mental health—often without giving themselves the same compassion they give others. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. My goal is to make therapy feel like a safe, steady place where you can slow down, understand what’s going on underneath the stress, and feel more connected to yourself again.

Let's be real. Anxiety is a b!tch. You know the kind I mean. Heart racing, chest tight, skin crawling, lying awake at 3am when you have to be up at 6. The kind that doesn't care how put-together you look on the outside. Most of my clients grew up in environments where they had to stay on guard just to get through the day. Emotionally unsafe, physically unsafe, or both. They learned early that keeping quiet, going along with things, and making themselves small was the smartest way to avoid getting hurt. And it worked, for a while. The problem is, survival strategies don't just turn off. So now you're people-pleasing in relationships you're not happy in. Biting your tongue when you should be speaking up. Telling yourself "it's fine" when it's really, really not. You know that voice in your head that says I should be over this by now? That's not clarity. That's the trauma talking. Here's what I see in my clients before they start working with me: they're exhausted. Not tired, exhausted. Drained by the constant hum of worry. Distant from the people they care about. Too spent to return a text, too anxious to be present, too guarded to actually rest. They carry it all in their chest like a weight they've stopped noticing because it's been there so long. You deserve something different. Not "managed" anxiety. Not white-knuckling your way through the week. Actually different. Setting your own terms. Saying no without a three-paragraph apology. Showing up in your relationships without shrinking. Feeling okay in your own skin without needing someone else's approval first. If you want to ditch the anxiety, break out of people-pleasing, and finally start living on your own terms, I'd love to help you get there.

Hi! My name is Michelle and I have a passion for working with women in the perinatal population, children, and athletes to improve their mental sport performance game! Navigating college and adulthood can be challenging and overwhelming! There is a lot to juggle and sometimes it can feel like a lot or you have to manage it alone. School or being an athlete can feel like a full time job. So it’s okay if you need someone to talk to, someone who’s been there and gets it. Because you don’t have to handle everything by yourself.

I’m Lizzie Holley, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) based in Collin County. I help adults (18+) who are seeking support, healing, and greater self-understanding. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, life and faith transitions, grief, religious and spiritual trauma, chronic illness, medical trauma, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to creating a space where clients feel safe showing up fully as themselves. I also bring lived experience navigating disability and chronic medical challenges, which informs my work with clients coping with chronic illness, medical trauma, and adapting to bodies or lives that haven’t unfolded as expected. My approach to therapy is warm, honest, relational, direct, and grounded in curiosity. I believe healing happens in spaces where people feel seen rather than judged. Therapy with me is collaborative. We’ll work together to better understand your patterns, emotions, relationships, and story while building practical tools for growth and resilience. I draw from approaches including CBT, ACT, narrative, and somatic therapy, while always tailoring the process to the individual sitting in front of me.

You’re the strong one — the responsible one — the one who learned early how to hold it together. You navigate different spaces, code-switching when needed, carrying family expectations while trying to build relationships that feel healthy and secure. You’re self-aware, but old attachment patterns still show up. You’re ready to understand what shaped you and create connection that feels safe, mutual, and authentic. I provide trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy for Black and Brown Millennials and Gen Z adults and couples. Using EMDR and relational therapy, we process generational and relational wounds so you can shift patterns at their root — not just manage the symptoms. You don’t have to keep carrying everything alone. Many of your patterns were learned for survival — they make sense. Therapy offers space to unlearn what no longer serves you and build something healthier. If you’re ready for intentional, culturally responsive depth work, I invite you to reach out.

I'm available weeknights and Sunday evenings. I am in-network with most major insurance plans, with new plans added regularly. Do you struggle with just being yourself these days? Well, kick off your shoes, relax, put up your feet, let's get real and talk. Many people see therapy as a never ending cycle of therapists sitting with a notepad repeating, "How does that make you feel?". I can assure therapy with me is never a cliche. I know how easy it is to feel alone and always asking why me. Some days it's easy to feel trapped looking for the fastest escape. Others you want to burst into tears or moments you feel like you're making all the wrong choices. I can understand if you need a break and want to scream. I'm here to help. Let's explore those issues you may be struggling with together and take back control of your life.

I earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Psychiatry from The University of Texas at Arlington. I am proud to say I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a true believer that not one of my fellow humans is immune to stress, anxiety, and feelings of sadness at some point in their life. We all find ourselves feeling vulnerable at times. It is completely normal to question why we feel the emotions that we do, why we seem to fall apart at times, and better yet, how we can get through it all in one beautiful piece. I think the first step to meaningful recovery from anxiety, depression, complex mental illness, and/or substance use is to reach out and ask for help. It is a difficult, but very brave action. I am not one to judge, look down on, question your past experiences, or current situation. I am very good at rationally breaking down a situation and I can offer practical advice and medication suggestions depending on your goal in mind. About Me / Specialties I am a licensed psychologist specializing in treating adolescents and young adults with OCD, anxiety (including social anxiety, panic, phobias, and generalized anxiety), and related conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder, trichotillomania, tics, and excoriation disorder. I provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I see clients in-person in Cambridge, MA and virtually throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas. I also work with parents, offering coaching to help support their teen or young adult while reducing family accommodations. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where we take mental health seriously—but not ourselves too seriously. A little humor can go a long way in therapy! Treatment Approach I tailor treatment to each individual, often addressing co-occurring concerns like depression, eating issues, or trauma alongside anxiety or OCD. Using ERP, CBT, ACT, and DBT strategies, I help students manage symptoms, regulate emotions, and make meaningful, lasting changes—all in a supportive and approachable way. Training & Experience I earned my PhD from the University of Virginia, completed my clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently see therapy patients and conduct research on OCD spectrum disorders.
