Whether you're facing new challenges or have been struggling for years, I'm here to support you with personalized, evidence-based care in a safe and welcoming environment. Healing starts with one step. Using a personalized, evidence based approach that combines medication management, supportive therapy, and holistic care, I help clients build practical coping skills and move toward a renewed state of mind.

I work well with clients who want to learn skills to cope with what they're going through as well as get to the root of the issues. As a therapist I am warm, flexible, and seek to create a brave space in which clients can bring their full selves to the room. While my focus has been trauma and trauma treatments, most of my clients are coming in for help with understanding the role their families have in their lives and changing relationships. Many of my clients are navigating how to be in relationship with parents who have different values and experiences, or maybe don't understand how their actions and choices have impacted my clients. Some topics I work with clients on include: anxiety, stress, perfectionism, over achieving, negative childhood or family experiences, and issues around identity. Some of my clients want to learn concrete skills for managing where they are at in their lives, while others want to get into the depths around who they are and why they do what they do. For both I show up consistently as a sounding board who provides gentle and often direct feedback.

At Severance Therapy, we’re proud to be a diverse collective of clinicians and staff—some of whom identify within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, and others who are fierce, informed allies deeply committed to this community. What unites us is a shared dedication to providing affirming, culturally competent care in a space where authenticity is celebrated, not questioned. Many of our clinicians bring personal experience with addiction recovery, sexual identity exploration, and the complexities of queer life—from coming out and dealing with internalized stigma to navigating sobriety in a culture that often centers around substances. Others have spent their professional lives walking alongside queer clients and communities, engaging in continual learning, advocacy, and personal reflection to be the kind of allies who show up loudly and consistently. Our team includes LGBTQIA+ therapists and allied professionals from a range of racial, cultural, and gender identities. Some are in long-term recovery. Some are sex-positive and kink-aware. Some bring academic expertise, while others bring years of boots-on-the-ground experience in queer spaces, harm reduction, and sober living. Together, we offer a dynamic, compassionate, and deeply relatable therapeutic environment—because we know healing happens best when you feel seen, heard, and understood by people who truly get it. Life is filled with questions that don’t always have clear answers—therapy with me offers a space to examine these questions and make sense of them in a way that resonates with you. While I have a particular interest in supporting men, emerging adults, and second-generation individuals, I welcome the opportunity to work with anyone looking for support. I invite you to bring what you're experiencing so we can process it together. I view therapy as a collaborative conversation. I offer a warm, laid-back presence, facilitating space for you to be yourself. With an existential approach, we'll explore deeper questions along with day-to-day challenges. The relationship we build is central to the process and my goal is for you to feel supported and valued every step of the way.

Hi! I’m Dariel; like Ariel, but with a D! I am licensed in IL(LCPC) and TX(LPC). I received my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator--A highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. I integrate her work and research of vulnerability and shame resiliency into all of my work with clients in their personal and professional lives. When I see clients, I like to work from a strengths based approach. We focus not only on what you are struggling with, but also what you have done well in the past or are currently doing well. I believe it is as equally important to focus on strengths and effective skills, as it is to focus on weaknesses and maladaptive behaviors, so that you can gain greater awareness and deeper meaning on your healing journey. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to: Focus on supporting improving self-esteem, accessing inner strengths and resilience, and helping to learn more about self by exploring thoughts and feelings. Provide tools to learn how to manage difficult emotions so that you can meet your identified goals. Normalize that healing is about understanding our fragile parts--shifting from places that keep us stuck, and going to places that help us soar.

Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).

Life can be brutal, can’t it?! Can you remember that time in life when you were happy, like top of the world scream it from the rooftops happy? In that moment, everything was right in your world and then well, life happened. Now you look back and have so many questions…What happened? Let me tell you, you are not alone! We’ve all been there in some season of life. But who says this can’t make us better! Every person comes to therapy with their own individual needs. Therefore, we adapt our interventions based on a comprehensive assessment of who you are and what you need. We are all trained in a number of different interventions and like to use a combination of our training and expertise to utilize an eclectic approach to best meet the needs of each individual person. We know that every individual is uniquely different and therefore each person should have a unique therapy journey based on their own needs.

Great to meet you! Hello, I’m Anjanette McCullar, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a strong background in education, counseling, and wellness. My path to counseling has been shaped by more than 15 years of working with children, adolescents, families, and communities—as a teacher, school counselor, group facilitator, and now therapist. I hold multiple degrees, including a Master’s in School Counseling and a Master’s in Educational Administration, along with specialized training in counseling, restorative yoga, and children’s yoga. This blend of education and wellness training allows me to approach therapy from a holistic perspective—supporting not only your mental and emotional well-being, but also recognizing how physical health, lifestyle, and environment influence your life. In my counseling work, I draw on my experience in both school and community settings to help clients navigate challenges such as life transitions, grief and loss, relationship dynamics, anxiety, self-esteem, and stress management. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Because of my background in athletics, coaching, and wellness practices, I also integrate mindfulness, movement, and practical coping strategies when they align with your needs and goals. Whether we’re exploring patterns in relationships, developing tools for self-regulation, or setting steps toward personal change, I tailor my approach to fit you as a whole person. Above all, my goal is to meet you where you are, help you discover your strengths, and walk alongside you as you move toward healing and a more fulfilling life. A bit about my approach to therapy I believe therapy works best when it’s a collaborative partnership—where you bring your life experiences and I bring tools, perspective, and support to help you move forward. My style is warm, empathetic, and goal-oriented. I work to balance compassion with gentle challenges that help you grow, all while creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can be your authentic self. I take a whole-person approach, integrating mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being into the process. This often means blending traditional talk therapy with mindfulness, restorative practices, and practical skills you can use in everyday life. My background in education, school counseling, and yoga allows me to address both immediate challenges and long-term personal development. I specialize in helping clients navigate: Life transitions and adjustment challenges Grief and loss Anxiety and stress management Self-esteem and identity development Relationship and communication issues In every session, I tailor my methods to your unique needs—whether that’s providing a safe space to process emotions, developing action steps toward your goals, or learning new skills to handle life’s challenges with more confidence and resilience. My ultimate goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more empowered, self-aware, and equipped to create the life you want. What you can expect from our first session In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and respected—no matter what challenges you are facing. We will work together to: Increase self-awareness so you can better understand your emotions, behaviors, and patterns. Develop coping strategies that help you manage stress, anxiety, and life transitions more effectively. Strengthen relationships by improving communication skills and setting healthy boundaries. Build resilience so you can face challenges with greater confidence and flexibility. Enhance overall well-being through a whole-person approach that considers your mental, emotional, physical, and social health. My sessions are collaborative—I will guide, support, and challenge you when needed, but you will always be an active partner in your own growth. Depending on your needs, we may integrate mindfulness, movement-based practices, and practical tools you can use in everyday life. By the end of our work together, my hope is that you feel more empowered, more connected to yourself, and more confident in navigating whatever life brings your way.

Hi, I’m Regina (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent therapist who believes healing happens in spaces where you’re truly seen and affirmed. I bring compassion, curiosity, and a healthy dose of irreverence into the therapy room, and I deeply value the trust it takes to show up authentically—especially when the world hasn’t always made space for who you are. I primarily work with women and nonbinary adults—especially those who are late-diagnosed neurodivergent, part of the LGBTQ+ community, or navigating non-traditional relationships (like ENM or kink). If you're untangling trauma, questioning your place in a society that often feels hostile or broken, or working to rebuild self-worth in a neurotypical, cis-hetero world—you’re in the right place. My approach is eclectic and collaborative. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all mold. This work isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about reconnecting with your values, making meaning, and feeling more at home in your own mind and body. If you’re looking for a therapist who affirms your identity, respects your complexity, and understands what it means to feel like an outsider—I’d be honored to walk with you. Schedule a free consultation so we can chat about whether I’d be a good fit.

My practice exists so that I can help individuals navigate their life journey especially when they are experiencing unexpected difficulties or life transitions. I have many years of experience working in all kinds of settings and would be grateful for the opportunity to work with any student who is experiencing a season of challenges and would be open to receiving help with facing and working through those challenges. I recognize the importance of faith, mindset, nutrition, exercise, and sleep in protecting mental health and look forward being able to connect with students in these areas.

About Me / Specialties I am a licensed psychologist specializing in treating adolescents and young adults with OCD, anxiety (including social anxiety, panic, phobias, and generalized anxiety), and related conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder, trichotillomania, tics, and excoriation disorder. I provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I see clients in-person in Cambridge, MA and virtually throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas. I also work with parents, offering coaching to help support their teen or young adult while reducing family accommodations. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where we take mental health seriously—but not ourselves too seriously. A little humor can go a long way in therapy! Treatment Approach I tailor treatment to each individual, often addressing co-occurring concerns like depression, eating issues, or trauma alongside anxiety or OCD. Using ERP, CBT, ACT, and DBT strategies, I help students manage symptoms, regulate emotions, and make meaningful, lasting changes—all in a supportive and approachable way. Training & Experience I earned my PhD from the University of Virginia, completed my clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently see therapy patients and conduct research on OCD spectrum disorders.
