WELCOME! I'm so glad you're here. Many of the people I work with are adults who’ve carried more than their fair share — the ones who look capable on the outside but feel anxious or disconnected on the inside. They've usually spent years masking ADHD/AuDHD, are deeply sensitive, and/or are trying to heal from complex trauma (CPTSD). If this sounds like you, I want you to know you're not alone, and you don’t have to keep trying to “figure it out” by yourself. I won’t hand you a checklist or tell you to breathe it away - I promise! Therapy with me is about noticing what’s alive for you and finding ways to move through patterns that have kept you stuck. With over 25 years of experience, and decades dedicated to my own recovery, I offer both professional expertise and a deeply lived understanding to our sessions. I’m quirky, a little unconventional, and definitely human. In our work together, we'll go beyond simply talking about your life. I'll help you to shift out of over-thinking and connect with the wisdom of your heart and body. That’s where your strength and self-trust already live, and where the parts of you that know how to heal can be heard. My therapy dog, Leasel, often joins us, offering her calm presence when words aren’t enough. I draw from approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy, integrated with Conscious Living principles. This work helps us uncover patterns that have been shaping your experiences and guides you toward change that's meaningful and actually lasts. Why I May Be A Good Fit For You I believe complex trauma shapes how we connect and move through the world—but those patterns can soften when we’re met with compassion and someone who’s been there. I grew up in a family that looked good on the outside but was marked by addiction and narcissism and it taught me how essential it is to be seen for who we truly are. I'm passionate about helping sensitive people know that hope is real, no matter what. I believe healing happens when we can be honest with ourselves and experience real connection. I show up as a real person—warm and down-to-earth. I also believe animals and nature offer healing when words fall short. I care deeply about neurodivergent folks, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and creating space for anyone who’s ever felt like they're on the outside looking in. I look forward to connecting with you!

Everyone tells you that college is the best time in your life and to enjoy it because it flies by. But what people don’t tell you is all the challenges that it can bring. Maybe it’s the first time you are away from your family and friends from home. It can also bring many challenges with pressure to drink or use drugs, navigating friendships and dating in a more complicated way, and figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life. You might be in a position where in order to afford school you need to work on top of doing well in all your classes. I know personally how challenging, yet exciting, this time can be, and I am here to tell you that you don’t need to figure it all out on your own or even right now. Are you ready to enjoy your college experience, be fully present in the great moments without feeling stresses weighing you down everyday? It’s time to feel a sense of relief, confidence in who you are, and in your decisions. Together, we can make your life feel lighter and free up space for everything else you have going on! My Approach: I am a strong believer in the power of relationships. Having someone to talk to can increase our sense of happiness and positivity, and most importantly let us know that we are not alone. Life has many ups and downs, but it's what you do with them that matters. I am here to help you transform the tough moments into growth. Therapy with me looks like an open dialogue, where we both respect each other's point of view and collaborate to find solutions that help you overcome what’s been holding you back. We can talk about anything, no matter how hard it is to share. Whether it’s the good things or the bad, I am ready to hold space for even the strongest emotions that come up, because I know we can work through it together. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy that not only looks at your thoughts and feelings, but also how your environment, your cultural experiences, close relationships, and health, affect your mental wellbeing. We’ll use a variety of therapeutic techniques to best fit what you need, because therapy is not a one size fits all approach. We’ll make sure that those techniques are really working for you. It might be practicing mindfulness or trying out different coping skills to help things feel less overwhelming. Our approach will continue to grow as our therapeutic relationship develops. I know that therapy is not always easy, but I am here to support you each step of the way and I will always accept you for how you are in that moment, even the hard ones. A Little About Me: I went into undergrad undecided and had a hard time knowing what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to do something to help people and I wanted a career that I would enjoy. I always felt behind in some way because I didn’t know what I wanted to do right away. I have learned that a lot of people have a unique path to get to where they are. I worked as a school social worker for 8 years before private practice and that is when I really knew I loved counseling and wanted to continue on this path. I have lived in the Chicago area for most of my life and love the city! You can find me by the lake or exploring all the city has to offer. My hobbies are all over the place and include a mixture of baking, triathlons, knitting, going on long walks and finding the best matcha. I also love traveling (but hate flying) and have an ever growing list of places I want to visit.

If you’re curious about what therapeutic modalities inform our work together, I integrate theory and practice primarily from Person-Center Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while also pulling in tools and resources from Emotion Focused Therapy, Interpersonal/Relational Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Coherence Therapy. A little bit about myself outside of the therapy office, I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I earned by Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. During my doctoral internship at the University of Nevada – Reno I completed emphases in multicultural counseling and community engagement, and theoretical applications of DBT to general mental health populations.

Do you feel like you're carrying the weight of the world, but no one can see it? Do you feel unheard in your relationship? It can be hard to put emotions into words, especially when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that seem impossible to break. The desire for peace is there, but knowing where to begin can feel daunting. Relationship conflict, whether with a partner, spouse, or loved one, can leave you feeling misunderstood, exhausted, and disconnected. Do the same arguments resurface? Does it sometimes feel like no matter how much you try, nothing changes? Supporting individuals struggling with mental health is a passion of mine. From the very first session, I aim to create a sense of safety and ease for my clients. With an empathetic approach and mindfulness, therapy helps you slow down, breathe, and begin untangling the thoughts you may have been avoiding. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking. It’s about creating space for stillness and self discovery, learning tools to cope, and finding the strength to move forward. If you’re feeling lost or weighed down, this is a place where healing begins. Let’s embark on a journey together, one where healing, growth, and meaningful relationships become possible.
