I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome the struggles of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and substance abuse. I help my clients learn concrete coping skills and effective ways to take control of their lives. The constant battle of obsessing over one's weight, the unrelenting state of panic and fear at times for no understood reason, and the feelings of shame and urges to self-destruct, don't have to be a part of your life. I've had the opportunity to successfully help people work through these issues and find peace and healing that they deserve. I love working with people with eating disorders because they are intelligent, kind-hearted, and often don't realize their potential and worth in the world. I understand the strength it takes to make the call to ask for help and the uncertainty that comes with starting the recovery process. After studying eating disorders and women's issues extensively and working for years at The Renfrew Center, a renowned residential eating disorder facility, I joined the Emotional Eating program at Princeton House Women's Programs. I am passionate about helping individuals on their path to self-discovery and leading a genuine and authentic life. Drawing upon my background in counseling and neuroscience, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and existentialism into my approach. I also offer Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration therapy. I aim to help individuals cultivate openness, awareness, and engagement with themselves, their loved ones, and the world around them. By incorporating meditation, relevant literature, art, and nature, I aim to create a holistic therapeutic experience. These elements enrich the exploration of subjective experiences, self-perception, and the profound aspects of existence. ACT emphasizes acceptance of one's thoughts, emotions, and experiences, while also encouraging commitment to taking meaningful action aligned with one's values. In our sessions, I guide individuals to develop psychological flexibility, allowing them to respond more effectively to life's challenges and pursue a rich and purposeful life. While I am excited to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I have a special interest in supporting those who experience chronic conditions such as pain, grief, psychosis, and trauma. Together, we will delve into meaningful discussions about topics like death, identity, and the transformative potential within each person's existence.

Talking about your feelings can be incredibly hard to do, especially in a fast-paced life where emotions feel like they can get in the way. I work hard to build a warm, emotionally-safe space in therapy in which you can share and explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that challenges you, but doesn’t feel overwhelming. Utilizing cognitive behavioral, family therapy, and mindfulness interventions, I help patients to increase awareness and improve their relationship with their emotions. Whether you’re just curious or feeling ready to work on your emotional wellbeing, I’m glad that you found me. I’m always excited to support someone in taking better care of themselves!

You are surrounded by people and still doing this alone. That is one of the most common things students bring me: a full schedule, a workable GPA or a funded assistantship, and a quiet sense that the path you are on was chosen for you rather than by you. Sometimes it shows up as anxiety that arrives before every deadline. Sometimes it is a loss you never had room to grieve because the semester did not stop for it. Sometimes it is the question you cannot safely ask your advisor, your parents, or your cohort without it costing you something. I spent 24 years in higher education before I became a counselor. I was an undergraduate and a graduate student, a program coordinator, an assistant professor, and a state extension specialist at Penn State and Ohio State. I know what comps do to a person's sleep, what it is like to change direction three years into a degree, and how hard it is to find someone who understands both your field and your wellbeing. I went back to school part-time for five years while teaching, parenting two young kids, and holding a marriage together, and I founded AutumnSpring Counseling® for people in exactly that kind of transition. My work sits at the intersection of grief, career, and mental health, because those three rarely travel alone: a change of major is also a loss, and a career decision is also an identity question. I am Joshua A. Kirby, LPC, CCC, GC-C, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with national certification in career counseling and grief counseling. I practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is present-focused and built on clarifying your actual values and acting on them. Sessions are direct and structured. Expect honesty, not just an hour of agreement. My office is in The Allenway Building on South Allen Street, walkable from campus, with a private waiting room and a separate exit. Telehealth is available throughout Pennsylvania, and I am also registered to see clients located in Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Montana, South Carolina, and Vermont, which matters if you go home for the summer or study away. AutumnSpring Counseling® is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance, so there are no coverage limits, no insurer-required diagnosis, and no plan administrator shaping your care. Current rates and payment methods, including HSA and FSA cards, are listed at autumnspring.co/fees. If you want to find out whether we are a good fit, the next step is a no-cost consultation call. Read more at www.autumnspring.co, then email josh@autumnspring.co or call 814-826-3737.
Same or next week availability! Welcome, I'm Dr Amy O'Donnell. I'm not here to fix you. Because you aren't broken. I believe everyone naturally has the capacity for healing. Together we learn how that looks for you. I help you incorporate natural approaches into your mental health care to create lasting change in mood, stress and sense of purpose. I’m an integrative psychiatrist. I think of my practice as like a one-stop-shop as services that are normally diluted among different providers get streamlined into one place - psychodynamic psychotherapy, medication management, and holistic approaches like nutrition, supplements and botanicals. While I can help with many concerns, my main areas of focus include new and expectant moms, medication de-prescribing and navigating high stress or low mood. We dig deeper to build insight into your whole person, address root causes and establish a resilient foundation so you face life’s challenges with increasing confidence and balance. I’ll be honest; creating lasting change will be challenging and uncomfortable at times. It will require commitment. My promise to you is that you won’t be alone on this journey. If you think we might be a good fit, please check out my website www.naturesflowpsych.com and schedule a free 15-minutes introductory call. I look forward to connecting with you.
Helping people feel more connected, alive and easeful in a difficult world is what excites me about the therapeutic process. While living with mental health challenges, it is difficult to know how to get unstuck or even to remember a time when things felt okay. I work collaboratively with clients to build on their strengths and identify goals that align with their values. We all develop strategies for survival that can be limiting over time. We can create more options that go beyond old strategies through practicing new ways of relating, recognizing nervous system patterns and strengthening the mind-body connection. Some of the approaches and techniques I use include parts work, attachment theory, mind-body therapy, guided visualization, somatic and movement based therapy. I am trauma focused and informed with an understanding of how systemic oppression contributes to illness, especially for those whose identities are devalued or erased.
