Welcome! I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for disordered eating, eating disorders, and anxiety/perfectionism. I am extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is an action-based therapy which helps individuals accept challenging emotions and experiences while doing what works and is meaningful to them - moving towards the life they want to live. ACT is an evidence-based treatment for eating disorders, as well as anxiety, depression, OCD, and chronic pain. For the past five years, I have worked in eating disorder treatment at all levels of care. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).

Life can feel like a constant push toward the next achievement, leaving you stuck in self-doubt, uncertainty, or the pressure to have it all figured out. Maybe you're questioning your path, struggling with relationships, or trying to break free from old patterns that no longer serve you. If your inner critic won’t quiet down or you feel overwhelmed by anxiety and stress, you don’t have to navigate it alone. The experiences we carry from childhood shape how we navigate relationships, cope with challenges, and see ourselves. Past wounds can create patterns that feel hard to break, but change is possible. If you feel stuck in cycles of self-doubt, struggling to set boundaries, or weighed down by family expectations, therapy can support you in discovering your true self and creating healthier patterns. I offer a space to explore these challenges, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop a stronger connection to yourself. I specialize in a psychodynamic approach with an attachment lens, helping you unpack how past experiences influence your present. Using a trauma-informed and holistic framework, I address the whole person—mind, body, and emotions. I also can incorporate brainspotting, a nontraditional but powerful tool that helps process trauma and emotional distress beyond talk therapy. Additionally, I support those adjusting to life with cancer or chronic illness, helping you navigate the emotional weight of a diagnosis, changes in identity, and the uncertainty that comes with it. My style is warm, approachable, and real. Therapy should be a place where you feel safe to be yourself—whether you’re laughing, crying, or just figuring things out. Let’s work together to build confidence, clarity, and a life that feels more like yours.
Life is an intricate journey filled with moments of joy, challenges, and self-discovery. Along this path, we all encounter periods when we may feel lost, overwhelmed, or in need of support to navigate the complexities of our inner world. Each person's experiences are unique, and your story is yours alone. My approach is centered around empowering clients to uncover their strengths, insights, and resilience, and helping clients work towards a more balanced and fulfilling existence. My style is holistic and eclectic, and I incorporate modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based, and person-centered. Life can be challenging and messy. You have the power to create the life you want and it’s okay to need help to achieve your goals. I invite you to reach out if you would like to take this next step in your journey. Book with me now by clicking on my website.

I approach the therapeutic process with the belief that therapy is simply a human helping a human. By offering an objective and judgement free setting, my hope is to provide a space that offers freedom to share and feel without hesitation. I am a masters-level clinician; I earned a master of science degree in counseling and psychology from Troy University in 2016. I'm a client centered counselor with a passion to help empower individuals to gain knowledge, skills, and tools to work through their presenting problems. I aim to build a therapeutic alliance with my clients and create a safe, judgment-free atmosphere with the hope that they are able to openly explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe in the power of knowledge and it's ability to impact healing and frequently apply psychoeducation into treatment. I'm a strength-based therapist and my overall theoretical orientation is integrative; it commonly includes utilization of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as behavioral and solution-focused techniques. I enjoy working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, relationship issues, and various life challenges. I'm happy to currently serve individuals 18+. I'm licensed in NC and SC. I'm also an out-of-state provider for the state of Florida allowing the option for telehealth for clients located in Florida at the time of service. Greetings. After careers in environmental justice & stewardship and wilderness therapy, I find I still work best with clients in outdoor settings. Therefore I see most people outdoors on a private property in Weaverville, NC. Life can be tough sometimes. We all, at some point, need that extra help to find a new perspective, sort through the chaos, and reach our true potential. I’m glad you’re considering taking this journey with me. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Wilmington, NC. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from ECU (Greenville, NC) and a master’s degree in Counseling from AGTS (Springfield, MO). I love helping people and use a variety of techniques catered to the individual. My approach is usually very straightforward but compassionate. I enjoy working with college students and am a passionate supporter/ally of the LGBTQ+ community. My experience includes a wide range, but I most enjoy working with people with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and problems adjusting to life changes (such as moving out, empty nest, loss of loved one, new career, etc). Finding the ‘right fit’ in a therapist is truly important, so please let me know if you’d like to set up an initial consultation or appointment, or simply contact me with any questions you may have. I try to be available to my clients when needed, and the best way to reach me is by texting my office number. I hope to meet you soon!

Hi, my name is Richard Howard and I am one of the licensed counselors here at Wright's Care Counseling Services. As the one setting up this account, I feel that it's necessary to include the practice as a whole rather than simply myself in case you as a patient have specific preferences as to who you would like to work with. Feel free to check it out and learn more about our practice. We provide in-office and telehealth (phone or zoom) counseling sessions and have offices in Greensboro, Asheboro, and Winston-Salem. We take private insurances as well as Medicaid.

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a licensed therapist in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina who helps people feeling burned out, anxious, or stuck in survival mode reconnect with balance and purpose. Many of my clients come to me after feeling overwhelmed by work, relationships, or the constant pressure to keep going — even when they’re running on empty. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and learn healthier ways to cope. My style is compassionate and collaborative — I meet you where you are and help you build practical tools for stress, boundaries, and self-care that actually fit your life. Before starting my private practice, I worked in behavioral health settings supporting individuals living with substance use, bipolar disorder, and other chronic mental health conditions. That experience taught me that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — and that real change happens when therapy feels safe, personalized, and empowering. If you’re ready to move from burnout to balance, I’d love to help you take that next step.
