College is often synonomous with stress. Adapting to independence. Figuring out your identity, beliefs, and preferences apart from family influence. Balancing classes and social life. You're living "Adulting 101." I work with lots of folks managing life transitions and stress. Sometimes this includes managing anxiety or working through past trauma, but it always includes working together to create a space for you to question and learn and grow into the person you desire. I want you to feel freedom to show up and take up space in your life. We'll collaborate to determine what that looks like for you.
I work with clients who are dealing with challenges related to life change and transition, self identity and growth, anxiety and stress. I am passionate about helping people discover their ability to find fulfillment while coping with pain and navigating struggle.
My passion is for helping people grow their self-confidence, improve communication skills, and build resilience. I work with teens and adults who are experiencing mental health distress, feel stuck and are looking to make changes to experience more joy in life. Through working with me, clients enhance their emotion regulation, establish new effective coping skills, and heal past trauma. LQBGTIA+ issues, recovery maintenance, anxiety and depression are common reason people seek treatment with me. My focus is to help individuals heal and progress through identifying their inner strengths. This is accomplished by providing an open space to hear your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. I am also a LGBTQIA+ allied therapist so I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment to everyone who comes to see me.
I work with individuals to navigate life's many hardships whether those challenges be difficult life transitions, academic stress, overwhelming emotions, depression, anxiety, suicidality, trauma, obsessions and compulsions, attention problems, or social concerns. I support my client's by providing skills and knowledge to build a life they feel is worth living. My therapeutic style is collaborative, empathetic, evidence-based, and non-judgmental. I believe in the power of building a strong therapeutic alliance where you feel heard, understood, and supported every step of the way. Working with me means learning about yourself, developing coping skills, and trouble-shooting those coping skills so that they work for you. We'll know therapy is working when you start your days feeling rested, engaged, and energized and when you end your days feeling relaxed, accomplished, content, and ultimately feel proud of yourself.
I can help you gain a better sense of control in life, and of your thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. I provide the guidance needed for you to improve your communication and relationships and help you move past challenges that are blocking you from achieving your personal goals.
I work with young adults (18-30) on anxiety, social anxiety, and self esteem. Does this describe you? You are the lonely one; you feel unseen. You feel deeply, and your emotions are intense. You are jealous of others who find it easy to connect, and you want what they have. When you seek connection, people disappoint you with their lack of authenticity. You love, but don’t know how to be loved. You once thought a romantic relationship or best friend would be the solution; you would feel whole. But you did not feel complete, and happiness started to feel out of reach. Understanding in your relationships feels foreign. Despite your frustration, you are committed to finding understanding, being valued, and connecting with others. You want to shine and thrive. I know your inner world's importance. I am familiar with the challenge of discovering how to fit in the social world. Can you imagine yourself confidently connecting with others? Can you imagine being valued and heard? Together, we will find your confidence. We will explore fears, hang-ups, and insecurities together. Take the first step towards the confidence and connection you want!
