Counseling is like creating a work of art. It can be messy, beautiful, and transformative, but overall, it is a collaboration between client and therapist. I believe that you are the expert on your life and as such use a person-centered approach leaning into a balance of body, mind, and emotion. Doing so allows me to work with you to identify and reach specific goals, which assist in achieving well-being for emotional, physical and mental health. I enjoy working with a wide array of cultures and lifestyles. I currently offer telehealth sessions and see persons of all ages and backgrounds. I am trained in child and adolescent trauma, adult trauma, EMDR, human sexuality, grief, and somatic therapy, amongst other areas. I have a special focus in women’s trauma, adverse childhood experiences and military trauma, utilizing somatic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, depression, chronic pain, anxiety, and sexual dysfunction.

We specialize in working with folks in times of transition. Adjusting to changes in your life can be incredibly challenging. We can help you use the challenges that you face to propel you towards your preferred future. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, eating issues or adjusting to a new place in your life, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. Whether you are looking to pull yourself out of a deep hole, or are experiencing transition and new life changes that are scary and challenging, or if you simply see where you want to be and need a little help to launch to that next level, you are in the right place.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or disconnected in your relationships—especially during times of change. Life transitions can bring up anxiety, uncertainty, and questions about who you are and what you want, even if things look “fine” on the outside. You may be looking for clarity, relief, and a way to feel more grounded and secure in yourself and your relationships. I support adults through relationship and life transitions by helping them understand attachment patterns and regulate their nervous system. Drawing on my experiences, including my time as a veteran, I blend attachment-based therapy with mind–body tools, informed by my yoga teacher training, to support grounding and connection. I'm here to fully understand your situation and assist providing skills, support or relief during these transitions and times in life. Please reach out and let's see if we connect to help on your journey.
I work with young adults (18-30) on anxiety, social anxiety, and self esteem. Does this describe you? You are the lonely one; you feel unseen. You feel deeply, and your emotions are intense. You are jealous of others who find it easy to connect, and you want what they have. When you seek connection, people disappoint you with their lack of authenticity. You love, but don’t know how to be loved. You once thought a romantic relationship or best friend would be the solution; you would feel whole. But you did not feel complete, and happiness started to feel out of reach. Understanding in your relationships feels foreign. Despite your frustration, you are committed to finding understanding, being valued, and connecting with others. You want to shine and thrive. I know your inner world's importance. I am familiar with the challenge of discovering how to fit in the social world. Can you imagine yourself confidently connecting with others? Can you imagine being valued and heard? Together, we will find your confidence. We will explore fears, hang-ups, and insecurities together. Take the first step towards the confidence and connection you want! Contact me for your first free 15-minute phone consultation.

Tiffany has been providing counseling services since 2012 and Neurofeedback services since 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. Tiffany is one of only three clinicians in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad Region who is Board Certified in Neurofeedback from The Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and a certified mentor for the BCIA board certification process helping train other practitioners to become board certified in neurofeedback. Tiffany is a the only clinician in the region who has the Quantitative EEG-Diplomate Licensed (QEEG-DL) certification from the QEEG Certification Board. She is certified in HeartMath and serves as adjunct faculty at Wake Forest University in the graduate counseling program. Click here to listen to Tiffany’s talk on Developmental Trauma. When Tiffany began her career, she used more well-known techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, but it wasn’t long before she became increasingly aware that the mental health field needed alternatives. Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain's ability to change itself allowing a person of any age to make changes in behavior and thinking patterns more easily. Using a combination of counseling and Neurofeedback, Tiffany began to see more substantial changes in her client's lives. Currently, Tiffany utilizes Neurofeedback and Heart Rate Variability in combination with traditional counseling. Click here to read Tiffany’s article on the popular Blog—Triad Mom’s on Main. Tiffany works with a variety of clientele utilizing a person-centered approach, which means sessions will start with you and your needs. Together, we will explore the issues that you bring to counseling in a holistic way with emphasis on emotional and personal history perspectives. Tiffany‘s experience has allowed her to work closely with many children, teenagers, and adults of different needs and backgrounds where she brings enthusiasm, compassion and cross-cultural understanding to her work towards healing and wholeness.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with about a decade of professional counseling experience. I have a wide range of experience with various demographics and concerns, but specialize in working with challenges related to personal development, identity and values, relationships (including the relationship with oneself), and trauma. These can include relationship issues (family, friends, or romantic partners), parenting/guardianship, boundaries, grief, various traumas, fears and phobias, self-esteem and self-efficacy, guilt and shame, depressive and anxiety disorders, health issues, healthcare and educational work, and significant life changes. My approach is holistic, person-centered, strengths-based, and multicultural, and may combine aspects of the following: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Schema Therapy Attachment-Based Therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Existential Therapy Gottman Method Mindfulness Therapy Narrative Therapy Play and Filial Therapy Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) I also believe that nature, music, creativity, and humor can play important roles in mental health, and may incorporate these elements into my practice. And, I would love to learn more about your interests and perhaps find ways to bring them into therapy! One of my key strengths as a counselor is my adaptability; I make it a priority to understand your needs and preferences, tailoring my approach accordingly. I always strive to be a warm and approachable counselor who is non-judgmental, respectful, honest, compassionate, and empowering. I want therapy to be a positive and rewarding experience for you, and I will do my best to help you feel welcome. During our first sessions, I will likely focus on going over the basic policies and expectations, answering questions, getting to know you better, and learning how I can best support you in this chapter of your life.
