I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist providing virtual therapy, bringing over fifteen years of experience in diverse settings, including outpatient care (both in-person and virtual), middle schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential programs, Section 35 commitment facilities, and emergency psychiatric assessments in various environments. I have had the privilege of counseling individuals across the gender spectrum—from ages ten to eighty—addressing a wide range of concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, adjustment disorders, substance use, co-occurring disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and psychotic disorders. My approach to therapy is collaborative and interactive, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing. While I bring extensive training and experience in a variety of evidence-based treatment models, I recognize that true progress comes from a strong and trusting connection between therapist and client. Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, I strive to help my clients deepen their self-awareness, cultivate positive self-regard, and develop a sense of balance within themselves and their lives. I view therapy as a partnership—one in which we work together to identify and shift harmful patterns, fostering healthier ways of coping and communicating. Through this process, we explore the experiences that have shaped who you are, creating space for growth and transformation. My therapeutic style is eclectic, incorporating psychodynamic principles, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and other evidence-based strategies tailored to each individual’s needs. My clients will often give me feedback they feel genuinely cared for in our therapeutic relationship. Often, clients will report that they were able to connect with me quickly and expressed surprise that they opened up as much to me, sometimes stating “that’s the first time I’ve ever told anybody that”. Though our work can be challenging, we work at a pace you are comfortable with and I will respect your boundaries.

I work from a place of genuine curiosity and respect each person’s path as unique. The road to self discovery is scary, and you are taking the first steps in seeking out the right therapist for you. It’s an important investment and you want to make sure you find just the right connection. My approach is deeply personal. Working with each person to learn and identify how they are impacted by the stories of their life and their history. In doing so, we are able to bring out what is truly possible. I believe strongly in the power of our stories. From a very young age, we all start learning things about ourselves and our world. These “life lessons” start to turn into the stories we repeat to ourselves over and over again. They become who we are. Those stories are not always nice and they hold us back. But most importantly, they are often not true! They are the stories we created when we were young and we have retold them to ourselves over and over again in a weird game of telephone with one player.
While we may not always have control over all aspects of our lives, we have control over how we choose to react, how we make meaning of our situation, and most importantly how we grow from the challenges presented to us. I work with adults throughout the lifespan, from young adults to older adults, in an individual and group therapy setting. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, life transitions, and navigating relationships. I love working with clients who recognize the need for change in their lives and are motivated to work towards bettering their relationship with themselves and others. I utilize both psychodynamic (how the past influences the present) and interpersonal approaches (how relational patterns impact psychological well-being) to therapy. In addition, I also borrow from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)/Mindfulness to help build healthy coping strategies. I do not believe in a one size fits all therapy, but I do believe in two necessary factors: hope and a strong therapeutic relationship. Hope ignites the courage to take the first step towards change and the therapeutic relationship is the vessel in which the journey towards change takes place.
