Mental Health. Care. Together. Are you looking to find a mental health provider that listens to you in a way that makes you feel seen? Who helps you unravel the mystery behind your concerns you've never been able to verbalize? Who hears what you say to reflect a treatment and create a space for you to heal, feel safe, and grow into the person you’ve always wished to be? Who sees your lived experience as invaluable as their own, but also brings their domestically and internationally recognized expertise and insight in mental health care? Who brings over a decade of combined counseling, research, and lived experience understanding the unique stressors of college and graduate school? If so, Solidarity Mental Health LLC is for you. My therapeutic treatments are adapted to each individual patient, as no two people are the same. I integrate my academic and mental health training from Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and the University of Southern California, my mental health work globally including Boston, Peru, Japan, Switzerland, and the Kingdom of Lesotho, my experience as a first-generation immigrant, first in my family to go to college and graduate school, treating refugees throughout the U.S., and working, navigating, coping, and thriving in some of the most difficult academic environments in the world. What results are a balanced, person-centered and empathy driven treatment based on unique insights from a 16+ year mental health career treating a mosaic of individuals from 15+ countries globally and diverse urban and rural areas throughout the United States. I have unique insights on not only how you as a college or graduate student can survive and thrive in your current environment, but also how transition to your ideal next step and self after graduation. I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner providing individual psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management to adults age 18+ in Massachusetts via telehealth, and offer a FREE 10-minute phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other. Please fill out the consultation request to get started. I accept patients of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and backgrounds, and have expertise treating BIPOC communities. I am a LGBTQIA affirming provider. I am out-of-network with insurance companies, but happy to provide paperwork for reimbursement to you to submit. I do not prescribe controlled substances. I currently act as Senior Clinical Lead, Mental Health for Project HOME and advisor to the American Psychological Association on BIPOC mental health. Your story and struggles are ones I can connect directly to my professional experiences and background. Most importantly, the path forward to heal and grow is a familiar place I've helped innumerable people discover and reach before. Feel free to email me at sdaimyo@solidaritymh.com with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

Being a university student can be both an exciting and extremely overwhelming time in your life. Your college years are full of transitions which often come with a sense of uncertainty. Seeking support in therapy can be the first step to re-gaining a sense of control and a hope in the possibility of change. My clients often face challenges related to life transitions in employment, relationships, family life, and education. They also seek support in navigating the daily struggles of life, from the stress of media consumption to confronting the debilitating impacts of oppressive systems. I also work with clients facing existential dread, including death anxiety, as well as those dealing with illness, end-of-life issues, and bereavement, whether personally or supporting a loved one. My therapeutic style is open, empathic, and down to earth. Building a safe and trusting connection is a crucial piece of the therapy process. My approach is existential and highly relational, highlighting the importance of both the right "fit" in the therapeutic relationship and exploring how you fit into the world. Through my years of practice, I've seen how self-compassion, deep connection, and finding a sense of purpose contribute significantly to one's well-being. I will support you in your search for greater meaning, emotional awareness and empowerment in a world that can be overwhelming and isolating.

I've created an easily accessible coaching program for college-age girls so they can access support whenever they need it from wherever they are. Whether you are concerned about navigating academics? Social life? Roommates? Missing friends and family? (Most would check off all of the above), or are simply feeling overwhelmed, anxious and aren't sure where to turn and just need an impartial adult to help, college transition coaching may be the next "right" thing. I am a therapist and life coach and have specialized in working with girls and young women for over 25 years. I can help you to learn what motivates and inspires you so that you can learn how to achieve your goals and overcome any potential obstacles. I work virtually with girls all over the world.

Hello! My name is Kristina Serena, owner of Serena Counseling and Empowerment Resources. I work with women to identify and conquer fears, obsessions, or unhealthy patterns of living that have resulted in feeling powerless! SERVICES: TELE-HEALTH (ONLINE THERAPY) You may be experiencing the grip of anxiety, depression, mood disturbances, addiction, trauma, self-esteem/self-worth, body-image, disordered eating or ADHD Through exploration of your story you will learn to embrace self love and start to heal You will learn to tap into parts of yourself that are experiencing a flood of different emotions You will learn to establish healthy boundaries towards yourself and others to protect your energy You will learn Somatic techniques to address symptoms you are experiencing including grounding, breathwork, body awareness and body scanning Together we will explore through a holistic approach how to create a more balanced life IDENTIFYING AREAS OF FOCUS/PATTERNS OF BEHAVIOR Over and over again I see women clutch to a certain set of rules surrounding their body, food, substances, parenting, friendships and the list goes on. This can be seen in many forms; excessive preoccupation, holding on the “idea” of perfectionism or distortion of reality. These patterns of thinking can leave you feeling stuck, on autopilot or frozen. It can be incredibly liberating to identify these patterns in a place of non-judgement HOLSTIC APPROACH: Learning to connect with your body and mind and listening to your needs is part of the holistic healing process Healing can have great impact on our emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Together we can identify barriers to growth and foster change to live as your authentic self. There is no standard normal. Sometimes we have to dig deep and sometimes it's surface reflection. Each of us has a story and your story is powerful. You might seem like you’re holding it all together, but inside feel overwhelmed or disconnected. Many high-achieving students carry the weight of expectations from family, culture, and society. That pressure can leave you exhausted, unsure of yourself, and out of touch with your own needs. I create space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and other historically marginalized students to slow down and be known, accepted, and supported as their full selves. I help students work through identity questions, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, imposter feelings, and the impact of trauma. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. You’ll have space to explore the deeper roots of what you're carrying while also building real-world tools to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Working with me means having a steady, supportive space where you can be real, ask hard questions, and grow at your own pace. We’ll focus on what matters most to you while exploring who you are and what you need to feel more whole. I offer virtual sessions for students anywhere in Massachusetts and would be honored to support you as you move through this next chapter. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.

I offer specialized individual and group therapy for teenagers and young adults in Massachusetts, and I specialize primarily in trauma recovery, men’s mental health, and complex family & intimate relationship dynamics. I see patients both via virtual telehealth sessions and for walk-and-talk therapy sessions in nature when fitting. I am most experienced working with those coping with trauma, going through family challenges, grappling with their identity (e.g., men's/masculinity issues, faith and sexuality/coming out, racial trauma, social class), striving to be in healthy relationships, as well as those exploring therapy for the first time. I work from the belief that our relationships with others and ourselves can be a source of deep suffering as well as a powerful window into self-discovery, intimacy, and healing. Therapy with me is a blend of support, curiosity, humor, challenging honesty, and the freedom to be and feel just as you are. Reach out to see if I might be a good fit for you.

It can be hard to know when to call a therapist. Have you found yourself thinking the below thoughts? -There is something wrong with me -I don't understand the way I am feeling -No one understands me -This isn't supposed to be the way my college experience is -I just can't handle these feelings of sadness/stress/anxiety If so, it sounds like you could benefit from talking to a therapist. Life is hard and therapy can be an effective tool to help navigate life's difficulties. As your therapist, I will sit with you and listen as you share your struggles and we will make sense of things. Together, we can figure out how you are unintentionally "getting in your own way" and also recognize the ways you are helping yourself thrive (but perhaps hadn't even realized it!). I'll teach you about your emotions, the mind-body connection and the relationship between thoughts-feelings-behaviors. This information will help you learn new and better ways to help yourself when you are feeling overwhelmed with your emotions and life challenges. Sounds like this could be helpful? Send me an email, we can schedule a 15 min phone call where I can answer your questions and we can get started.

I work with adults dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, stress, & executive dysfunction. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to help you better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges and build on your strengths. As a queer, autistic/neurodivergent, & disabled therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting people within these communities in a way that is respectful, understanding, and empowering. I recognize the impacts that trauma & systems of inequality can have on mental health, & strive to provide care that is compassionate & inclusive. I show up as my authentic self & work to create a space where you can feel safe, comfortable, & accepted. You are the expert on your own life, & my role is to support you as we explore what you need to heal, grow, & move forward.

When we face difficulties, it can be helpful to organize our thoughts and feelings and understand our behaviors in order to facilitate meaningful change. Whether you are going through a life transition, navigating difficulties related to past traumas, enduring interpersonal difficulties, experiencing a loss, suffering from mental health symptoms, or in need of some support, it can be helpful to work with a mental health professional. As a licensed psychologist I look at my clients within a context of their environment, culture, values, and goals. I have worked with diverse adults experiencing various stressors that interefere with their everyday life with the goal of improving daily living. When working with clients, I used a strength-based approach and acknowledge that you are the expert. I work to validate your experience, while also encouraging you to change in a way that is more adaptive and allows for you to improve your everyday life.
