I am a Massachusetts Board Certified, licensed Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist who has been helping patients improve their lives for 25+ years. I provide psychiatric services for individuals ages 18 - 65 with a focus on mental health issues across the life span. I am most successful with those dealing with anxiety, depression or mood disorders as well as career, academic or relationship stress. I treat students, career professionals, men, women and LGBT populations as well as those from many ethnic, racial and class backgrounds. As an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse, I help people recover, heal and take charge of their emotional health by offering therapy, education and judicious use of medication in a warm, attentive and welcoming manner. Genomic testing, when indicated, allows me to personalize the medication plan to achieve optimal outcomes. My years of practice and training allow me to draw on a deep understanding of people experiencing mental health issues. I understand how to provide relevant and individualized treatment for a wide variety of needs and welcome those who can be active and engaged in treatment.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Reiki Master offering virtual therapy, specializing in spirituality, self-esteem, existential challenges, and life transitions. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected from their bodies, their relationships, or a clear sense of who they are... old wounds can show up through self-doubt, overthinking, numbness, or a feeling of not quite belonging. My clients are often introspective, sensitive, or creative souls that come to me during times of transition, burnout, relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, or when seeking a deeper connection to themselves and their purpose. Our therapy process will invite you to slow down, listen inwardly, and repair the hurt that restricts your vitality and authentic self-expression. I specialize in integrative therapy that blends relational talk therapy with body awareness, breath, inner child work, and earth-based practices. I draw from IFS, somatic therapies, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, while also incorporating ACT and CBT to support aligned action. My approach is non-pathologizing and collaborative. Our work will effectively move you towards: greater clarity and confidence in your choices; Emotional resilience and self-compassion; A more authentic connection to yourself and others; A sense of wholeness, direction, and purpose. If it feels like we could be a fit, I would love to hear from you. Reach out to schedule an initial session.
I specialize in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy; these approaches are particularly suited for such issues as coping with losses, reducing self-criticism, increasing relationship fulfillment and bolstering creativity. Often, I work with people whose prior therapy experience(s) was symptom-oriented or brief but who found themselves wondering if there is something more. I also often work with people in academia, such as graduate students and post-docs. I am particularly passionate about graduate student mental health and am aware of the unique stressors often faced by doctoral students, as well as the factors that make it more challenging to reach out for support. I am aware of the ways that concerns pertaining to identity, belonging and family of origin often begin to come to the fore when one finds themselves in a new environment and/or a new academic/professional endeavor.
Nicole Warner is a queer, trauma-informed therapist, specializing in supporting LGBTQIA+ folks. Nicole takes a mindful approach by focusing both on the breath, and looking at wider external forces impacting folks when supporting individuals on their counseling journeys. Nicole believes we need to name the impact of systemic oppression to grow and heal.
What I love most about my work is walking alongside people as they navigate life’s most difficult moments — grief, major life transitions, caregiving, serious illness, or the stress and uncertainty that comes with change. Life transitions can reshape how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and our future. Big changes — divorce, moving, career shifts, chronic illness, or the death of someone you love — can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy is not about “moving on” or “getting over” your grief or stress. It’s about learning how to carry life’s challenges while honoring your story. I specialize in relational therapy that helps individuals, parents, and families make sense of the grief, stress, and anxiety that often comes with life transitions, while building on your inherent strengths to achieve your goals. I use principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical skills for coping and managing difficult emotions. I strive to be an authentic, warm, and honest therapist that brings empathy, understanding, and a little lightness to healing. Please feel welcome to reach out for an initial phone consultation - I would love to see if we’re a good fit.
My practice is: Queer- and Trans-affirming, Neurodiversity affirming, sex positive, Kink-affirming, and Poly/Non-Monogamy-affirming. I work with individuals and relationships. I like to establish up front that I am a safe person to correct, call-out, interrupt, disagree and argue with. It will not impact our therapeutic relationship. You are the expert of your own life. (If minor is included.) I work with all ages IF conjointly working with the whole system, otherwise I mainly work with adults.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over fifteen years of working with individuals, groups, and families. I believe that healing can come through the development of mindfulness, in the empowering of ourselves through self-awareness, the constructive exploring of our relationships with others, and taking the time to create peace and clarity in this complex chaotic world. During our time together, I hope to provide an environment for you to revive your joy, feel whole versus disjointed, and seek to create a balance between challenge and kindness for yourself. I have extensive experience with relationship issues, parenting, anxiety, stress management, adjustment, grief or loss, and trauma. I recognize that reaching out to begin this journey is a brave and important step. I am aware of the privilege it is to accompany you.
Is it harder than you expected to be a college student? Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, and anxious on most days? Things can be different. Imagine if you could navigate the stress of schoolwork, balance your time for the people and things that are important to you, make time for self-care, and quiet your mind so you can have more than a few hours of sleep each night. You deserve more than just making it through the day. I can help you figure out how to make things better. My clients describe me as supportive, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk to. I help them learn how to make sense of their past, feel grounded and confident in the present, and start creating the future they want. I specialize in helping people learn how to manage anxiety, stress, life changes, ADHD, and trauma. My practice is culturally sensitive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming. Many people struggle to find balance and fulfillment in life, but things can get better. Therapy can be a safe space to rediscover your strengths, build confidence, and learn skills to make your days easier. Through our work together, you will be empowered to create meaningful, lasting change. Visit my website to learn more and schedule a free consultation. **Note: I am currently waiting for Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA to finish the contracting process for my new private practice. I will be in network with BCBS soon. **
The client I do best with is the good kid in the family that never causes waves or the quiet kid in the classroom that is a great team member but never makes a fuss. I work best with the silent suffering - those who look just fine on paper and are out and about in their personal life. These are those folks who are too nice, always making excuses for bad behaviors in relationships and ultimately ending up feeling invisible and unloved. I do well helping these types realize their value and helping them assert themselves. I typically work with people who may not have a full blown addiction but might be suffering by drinking too much or keeping an eating disorder in secret. They are getting their pain out in unhealthy ways.

Having worked in both academic and corporate environments, my current work as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has evolved from observing students’ and colleagues’ challenges and successes and their relationship to emotional health and ability to focus on daily and long-term goals. As a result of my Yale, Duke, Tufts and MGH psychiatric training, I’ve honed my observations into effective working theories about the biopsychosocial factors that influence peoples’ vitality and well-being. If you're currently struggling with academic, professional or emotional obstacles, I believe I can help. My practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of multiple mental health conditions including: ADHD, ANXIETY and DEPRESSION with a focus on compassionate, culturally sensitive, SUPPORTIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY and MEDICATION MANAGEMENT for adolescents and adults. If you’re struggling with a mental health condition and need help with medication management, or simply want assistance with improving your mental well-being, please contact me for a private consultation. Initial appointments last about an hour with follow-ups taking less time. If you’d like to discuss living a more balanced life, please give me a call.

Life can be a lot! There are times when people may feel hopeless, isolated, or like they have no choice but to struggle alone. As a queer person, I know the importance of connection and community. My goal is to offer a space where you can feel safe in vulnerability and supported in facing challenges. I work primarily with adults and college-aged individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in emotion-focused, relational work. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to find the best fit for your unique needs, believing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Being ready to start therapy doesn’t mean you have to feel ready to dive in head-first. Sometimes, the first challenge is simply taking that first step. If you want to do that, I will meet you at your pace with honesty, care, and respect as we work together toward understanding and change.
Through my own lived experience, I can deeply resonate with the realities my Millennial and Gen Z clients face. Dating, social media, politics, finances, and demands from school or work can be so daunting. My main priority as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental, engaging, and approachable environment where you feel empowered to navigate these challenges together. Just having one of those days where you need to vent about your mom, partner, or roommate? There’s plenty of space for that too. While I pull from many approaches in my work, I especially enjoy utilizing skills-based therapies like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). These can address concerns like anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflict, sleep, and more. My goal is that you leave each and every session feeling more ready to take on what life is throwing your way. If you’re looking to gain control amidst our out-of-control world, I’d love to connect with you. Please don’t hesitate in reaching out for a free 15-minute consultation.
I personalize treatment to you. Everyone is different and unique, and I believe that my job is to have all the tools at my disposal to provide a treatment that will be tailored to you, who you are, your experiences, and what you're going through. I work in a collaborative manner, and only use treatments that have scientific evidence showing that they work. I have worked with many individuals navigate changes in their lives, relationship difficulties, and work to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, panic, trauma, grief and loss, and anger. I'm looking forward to working together to help you achieve the life that you want for yourself.
