Welcome! It's not easy to seek therapy and I'm glad you're initiating treatment for whatever struggle is bringing you here. I am a licensed psychologist located in the state of Indiana and have operated in private practice since 2002. I work via telehealth, using secure, HIPPA compliant video conferencing, with adults who are navigating a wide variety of mental heath concerns. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as a Certified Clinical Telemental Health provider and I am PsyPact certified to schedule telemental health sessions with clients in 40+ participating US states. It is my goal as your psychologist to collaborate with you to better understand and manage your distress while supporting you in achieving your goals, whether you require short-term intervention or longer-term treatment. I look forward to meeting you!

Amanda has worked with a diverse range of individuals in terms of socioeconomic status, age, ethnicity, gender, and presenting concerns. She has a solid understanding of the challenges faced by adolescents and adults and is passionate about assisting individuals in improving their mental health, enhancing their life experiences, and empowering them to be a part of their own growth. She is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and accepting therapeutic environment and prioritizes the development of a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship to allow each individual to gain insight and develop skills to assist them in addressing their presenting concerns. ***All therapy services are currently being provided virtually via a secure online platform (Telemental Health)*** For individuals who have difficulties finding time in their busy schedule, the convenience and flexibility of online therapy makes this a great option. Because you are able to have sessions in a private area of your choosing and will not need to commute to and from sessions, you can be more efficient with your time. Whether you decide to sit at a park, in your bedroom, or in a private space on campus such as a library study room, it's up to you. Wherever you choose to be during your sessions, know that you will receive the same professional support and assistance through online therapy as you would for in-person services.
Hello, and thank you for looking at my profile. After working at Butler University's counseling center for the past 13 years, I recently transitioned to full time private practice. I love working with college students and hope to continue working with them in my new practice. I have a lot of experience with stress, anxiety, body image, substance abuse, depression, relationship problems, grief/loss, and the changing identities and developments that take place during the college years. I offer both in person and teletherapy and I am typically able to be flexible with scheduling. I'd love a chance to meet you to see if we would be a good fit!

It's uncomfortable to reach out for help, to reveal our pain and personal matters to anyone, let alone a stranger. This is why my priority is creating a safe, judgment free space to build a genuine connection with my clients. In addition to developing strategies to relieve immediate distress, I apply my 15 years in mental health, from home-based to hospital crisis work, to help you identify the reasons behind your struggles and resolve the underlying causes. This provides the framework for positive growth and a deeper understanding of oneself, for lasting results. I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs and therapeutic goals. You are the expert on your life and your experiences, and my role is to provide support, help you gain insight into any self-limiting beliefs, all while gently steering you in the right direction. Everything we need for growth is already inside us; it's just a matter of finding it. I have thorough knowledge of anxiety, depression, and identifying/treating suicidal ideation, serving as clinical educator for a large crisis dept. My extensive training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides a foundation for my work. I'd like to make the process of starting therapy as easy as possible and invite a conversation on how I might help you.
Hi! I’m Jen (she/her) and I’m not perfect. It took me a long time to be able to say and accept that. In fact, I now embrace the things that are imperfect - all my difficulties and challenges. I have navigated these throughout my life and seek to help others navigate their difficulties and challenges, as well. My therapy style has been described as informal, direct, genuine, and humorous. I am fully authentic with my clients and I hope my clients will be fully authentic with me. I tend to be blunt and call people out on their BS - I say what you can’t or won’t and teach you to do that for yourself. Together, we will address your difficulties by connecting current thoughts, beliefs, and emotions to past experiences. We can’t fix the past, but we can change how we view it and move forward.
Welcome! Participating in therapy with me is a partnership, where you can get what you need and be equipped to take on the challenges that come your way. I regularly work with young adults, couples, and families, so I have a wide range of experience to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, relational issues, communication issues, life transitions, & other common life stressors. It would be an honor to work together, so please let me know how I can help.
I have been working with Young Adults for over 10 years dealing with transitions in and out of school as well as the family conflict that can arise around this time. I also work with those who are coming to understand their gender and sexuality and how to incorporate this new understanding into their lives and relationships to the degree that they are comfortable. I specialize in working on trauma that has lead to current mood issues as well using several modalities of treatment.

“I have learned now that while those who speak about one’s miseries usually hurt, those who keep silence hurt more.” - Clive Staples Lewis Beginning the process of therapy can be intimidating, overwhelming, and scary. I completely understand and have been where you are. Sitting in silence only prolongs the inevitable. Trying to resolve the problem with the help of a friend or loved one eases the burden temporarily but you may not get to the core. Working with a trusted therapist, you begin to understand your deeper thought processes, the ineffective loops you’re likely stuck in, and the fear-based thoughts holding you back. I help people struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational conflicts. I begin where you stand now. I move slowly, gently, and respectfully towards the goals we create together. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma, and Systemic Family Therapy. Some of my past experiences include working with individuals and couples in several private practice locations over the years, an inpatient drug/alcohol addiction treatment center, and at a U.S. Air Force base helping military members and their families. I also worked as a mental health counselor in a close-security prison for 3 ½ years helping male inmates struggling with mental health issues. A few fun facts about me: I spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and have lived in multiple countries and states. I've been married to my beautiful bride for over 20 years and we are empty nesters (if you don't count our 4 pets)!
