Do you struggle with feeling guilty after eating certain foods? Have you tried diet after diet hoping that the next one will finally stick? Do you feel obsessed with food and what your body looks like? Is overeating and binge eating common for you and/or do you struggle with restriction? Do you base your worth on the number you see on the scale? Are you hoping to finally stop calorie counting and learn how to eat intuitively? If any of these questions sound familiar, you are in the right place! While working with me, you will learn how to: build meals and snacks that are both physically AND emotionally satisfying, build trust with your body again (or maybe for the first time), decrease binges and/or guilt experienced with certain foods, and gain freedom once and for all from obsessive feelings about food/body image!

Hi, I’m Jocelyn Foust—thanks for stopping by. College is a time of change, discovery, and a lot of pressure—whether it’s figuring out who you are, navigating relationships, dealing with anxiety or depression, or just trying to keep your head above water. If life feels overwhelming or like you’re stuck in a cycle of overthinking, sadness, or self-doubt, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to go through it alone either. As a therapist, I believe that healing happens through connection. My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered around you—your goals, your values, your unique experiences. Together, we’ll create a space where you can feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, and start to build more clarity, confidence, and direction in your life. I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which means we’ll work on getting some distance from those painful thoughts and feelings that tend to pull you off track. We’ll also practice making space for your emotions, while moving toward the life you want—step by step, in ways that feel manageable and real. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about waking up to your own story with compassion and curiosity. You’re the expert on your life—I’m just here to help you reconnect with your own strength, your inner wisdom, and what matters most to you. If you’re feeling stuck or weighed down right now, that makes sense—and it’s okay to ask for help. Therapy can be the place where things begin to shift. Let’s take the next step together when you’re ready.

I am currently accepting new clients! Seeking therapy and finding a professional you trust can be difficult, even overwhelming. I aim to ease this transition by creating a nonjudgmental, flexible, and supportive space for our sessions- one that promotes your growth and healing. I believe meaningful change starts with meaningful relationships. As such, I will partner with you to build an alliance that fosters curiosity, strength, and resilience. I value depth-based work and use an integrative, individualized approach to therapy. Inherent in this approach is diligently staying attuned to your goals and what you need from our sessions. I work with individuals (16+ years old) and couples who are struggling with problems related to life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I also have experience exploring gender and sexuality, LGBTQ+ issues, problematic eating patterns, and sexual/relational trauma. I am honored to work with individuals holding many identities, backgrounds, and life experiences. I especially enjoy working with students, creative minds, or anyone trying to untangle the meaning of life. If you think we may be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out and look forward to hearing from you.

Whether you have specific goals in therapy, or are simply struggling to keep your head above water, therapy can be a space to slow down and allow yourself the opportunity to sit with your experiences and feelings. I love working with queer and trans folks, people exploring their gender and sexuality for the first time, as well as people with Autism and ADHD, and people who are exploring the possibility that they may be neurodivergent. I also enjoy working with people with complex trauma histories, religious trauma, complicated family dynamics, as well as people struggling with anxiety and mood disorders. I am dedicated to working with clients to identify and process what is keeping them “stuck,” so clients can create for themselves a healthier future. I believe that harnessing creativity within the process of therapy can be extremely beneficial, especially for clients who have a more difficult time verbally expressing their thoughts and feelings. As a nonbinary and neurodivergent person, I know how important it is to find a therapist who shares your identities. I generally tend to be laid-back and very relational as a therapist and enjoy using humor to build rapport. Ultimately, this is YOUR space, and I want clients to feel like therapy is a place where they get to exercise autonomy.

I have worked with college students and young adults since 2017 providing outpatient counseling in settings such as a college counseling center, nonprofit agency, and private practice. I work with goals such as building healthier relationships, including managing difficult family dynamics, developing independence from family, exploring dating or building healthy romantic relationships, or navigating friendships and relationships with people they see at school and work. In addition, many of my clients are navigating their relationship with themselves! I particular love working with clients who are exploring sexuality and gender identity, religion and spirituality, socioeconomic class dynamics, and their understanding of self in a political context. I have worked with a lot of young people who identify as artists and activists, high achievers, and young people who are coping with life as an adult child of an alcoholic.

Are you tired of facing your problems alone, yet feeling unsure about discussing them with a stranger? Are you feeling trapped in your anxious and depressive thoughts, but feeling too embarrassed to talk, or express yourself in fear that you may be judged? You are not alone in this. I want to applaud your courage and bravery in taking that first step. I have helped those seeking help with a variety of issues, and work well with complex conditions. Some include depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, self-esteem, bullying, family conflict, defiant behaviors, anger management, and coping with stress. My work has also included providing parental support in working with their children / adolescents with regard to communication, discipline and affection. My main desire is for all clients to know they are not alone and help them on their journey. I will adapt to meet your needs. I recognize that no two people are alike. We are all unique in some ways. With this, I meet each client with an individualized (client-centered) approach. I emphasize mindfulness, strengths, coping skills and positivity. I utilize aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, psychoanalysis, and some other methods. I believe that success in therapy relies on the foundation of mutual trust and therapeutic alliance. With this, clients can work to improve and achieve goals they set. I place the utmost value on respecting my clients, providing a safe and supportive space for growth, and emphasize the importance of placing the client's needs, values, and goals as the driving force for change. I am passionate about working with young adults and first generation immigrants that are struggling with anxiety, burnout and stress. I understand the unique challenges college students face because I myself have been a student on/off for over 10 years. I come from a first generation household and have worked with immigrants my entire professional life. I know how hard it can be to grow up in a culture that has different values than those at home and how this can lead to questioning your own identity and where you feel you belong. I welcome the opportunity to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself to live in alignment with your natural strengths and ambitions.

Hi! My name is Sophia (they/them). I am a Licensed Professional and Nationally Certified Counselor. I am passionate about supporting the intersectionality of marginalized groups, including queer, trans, and people of color. My areas of focus are trauma recovery, racial, sexual, gender identity development, childhood trauma, attachment, relational difficulties, anxiety, and depression. I work best with clients who want to build a more mindful and compassionate relationship with themselves, centering pleasure and softness. My work supports people who want to build a stronger sense of self, centering their needs, engaging in inner child healing, and healing from childhood trauma. I have supported my clients with intergenerational trauma/healing, attachment issues, neurodivergence, perfectionism, workaholism, marginalization, identity, belonging, and relational healing. I utilize internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic, relational, and solution-based approaches. My practice is warm, compassionate, experiential, consent-based, and direct. Therapy is always centered around you and your needs. I prioritize holistic therapy that takes the mind, body, and spirit into consideration, and is rooted in resisting and healing the impacts of oppression. In an effort to decolonize mental health and create safer therapeutic spaces for BIPOC folks, my practice focuses on strengthening the mind-body connection and raising awareness of how systems of oppression can negatively impact well-being. I take into consideration the complex dynamics occurring with you on the individual, societal, environmental, and institutional levels and how they impact your inner world. My goal is to help you foster liberation, empowerment, and consciousness raising as we address oppression and its impact on these levels. I welcome all healing approaches that feel right for you, including ancestral, spiritual, or cultural. If what I've shared resonates with you, please visit my website or email me.

Welcome! My name is "Dr. Ed." I'm a Ph.D.-Diplomate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Houston and Governors State. In our multicultural world, therapy is a safe place to respect your values and honor your strengths! √ I'm 4.6 rated with 60+ reviews on HealthGrades, United Health, Aetna and Cigna. My treatment philosophy is built on respect and appreciation of the dignity for each person I work with. Let me emphasize this one more time, YOU don't have to settle for a poor self-image from negative experiences nor settle with poor relationships with your family, spouse, kids and yourself. Let's figure it out..together.. My therapy specialty is working with adults, couples, families, and pre-teens who are dealing with feelings of rejection, grief, and situation anxiousness-including balancing family and work-life stressors. I greatly appreciate listening to the adult male voice in relationships and families. Learning ways to bridge the gap in communication styles between men and women, parents and children, is important work! Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a core faculty member for nine years at Capella University-graduate and doctoral programs in Social Work and Public Service Leadership. Outside of work, Dr. Ed enjoys traveling to Barbados, Cancun, Houston Rodeo, is active in the KAY fraternity, and is an Astros and Cubs fan. The Kedzie Center
Clinic or agency
Chicago, IL

At The Kedzie Center, we aim to provide a safe space, by providing confidential and empathic care. Within this frame, therapy is guided by the initial concern that prompted the individual or family to seek treatment. Areas of concern may include emotional distress, relationship issues, work or employment stress, grief and loss, major life transitions, adjustment issues, behavior problems, acculturative stress, and exposure to trauma, abuse or violence. Therapy can be brief in nature, allowing for an exploration and resolution of the presenting concern. Treatment can also be long-term, with a greater focus on seeking to understand the internal and interpersonal dynamics at play in one’s life. How therapy is structured and scheduled is part of the ongoing collaboration between therapist and client. Based on an initial assessment, recommendations are made for individual, family and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults. Services are available in both English and Spanish at this time.
