Human life is full of distractions and failures, and treatment, either psychological or physical, is likewise. We will have moments of perceived failure and distractions. That is OK…. new ways of thinking take time and practice. A trusting relationship between client and therapist is the most important factor in therapeutic success. I work hard to earn and keep your trust. I operate from a positive psychotherapy framework and provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental, safe place. I build this safe place so you can explore your concerns, learn about what is preventing you from living the life you want, or search for your preferred future. My counseling style is kind, caring, and built on relationships. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and non-judgment. Admitting to yourself that you can not do everything alone and reaching out to a professional for help are the first steps towards living your preferred future. The way in which we live is greatly influenced by how we see the world. Asking for help, and getting a new perspective is often the most profound step towards your preferred future. The more support you gain, the more able you will be to heal and grow. Therapy is an investment in yourself and is ALL ABOUT YOU. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, and the average cost of a session for clients who use their insurance is less than $30.
I came to this field out of a lifetime of curiosity about others and myself. My hope is to help channel your own curiosity and facilitate a journey of self-discovery, understanding, and renewed hope. The grief that comes from loss or change isn’t something to “get over” or “heal” from. Instead, I see grief as an experience that evolves and matures as we learn to adapt to our new reality and integrate these difficult changes into life after loss. None of us are exempt from experiencing grief, mourning, or large life changes. I’ve been there. That’s why I hope you will feel safe bringing me along on your journey. When I am not counseling, I am probably out there dealing with this messy life just like you, training for my next half marathon, at a yoga class or spending time with my family and friends. They would tell you I’m a great listener, caring, and empathetic. They might also share my penchant for bad puns and that I spend an inordinate amount of time planning my next meal. You might also want to know that I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License # CSW003949) who received her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2004 and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont. I have worked in various care settings including Inpatient, Outpatient and Managed Care. I have experience treating individuals and couples with a range of issues including eating disorders, marital issues and grief. I offer free 15 minute consultations. Greetings! I am a generalist trained counseling psychologist with several years of experience working with college students. This includes specialized training in working with student-athletes and teams. Older adolescents and young adults are ideal clients, though I have experience working with folks of all ages. My main areas of experience and interest include relational concerns, identity exploration, mood disorders, and trauma. In session we’ll work together with the understanding that you are the expert on yourself and my role is to support your growth. The therapeutic relationship is the vehicle for change, and I foster a trusting and brave space for self-exploration and understanding. As a counseling psychologist, I trust that clients possess internal resources to help them navigate challenging experiences. Thus, part of our work together is to nurture and develop those resources so that they can be confidently implemented. My practice features interpersonal and feminist orientations to examine relational dynamics and patterns. Through these frameworks I consider how the impact of societal systems affects clients’ identities, current experiences, world views, and the therapeutic relationship. Therapy can provide a trustworthy and reflective space to understand ourselves differently, process interpersonal dynamics, and explore the impact of systems on our individual and collective experiences.
In my clinical work, I thoroughly enjoy getting to know clients and their families. The most important aspect is to provide a safe and comfortable environment so clients can form a trusting, open, honest relationship in order to facilitate change. On my end, that requires relatability as well as sincerity to meet the client where they are as well as embracing their individualized experiences. The overarching goal is to get each client to overcome personal obstacles, reach their full potential, strengthen or improve their relationship with family members, and learn appropriate skills to help them succeed in the everyday world. As all people have unique strengths and interests, treatment plans are individualized to ensure that they match the person's needs. Whether that is lessening the burden of anxious thoughts, learning how to get oneself out of a depressed mood state, teaching skills to help calm down when agitated, or discussing social interactions to feel more comfortable, each individual requires their own road map. I enjoy applying a person-centered, strength-based approach as well as weaving in cognitive-behavioral techniques. Counselling sessions are goal-driven; however, goals are developed in a cooperative manner, including the client, myself, and (when appropriate), other family members

Hi! I'm Rosie (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of both Georgia and Texas. I work primarily with young adults (20s and 30s), and many of my clients are people who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have special focus in trauma processing, ADHD management, and career exploration. Throughout my social work career I have passionately advocated for racial, social and economic justice through the empowerment of individuals and groups including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental illness, people with disabilities, veterans, children and youth, and more. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist myself, I am mindful of how people’s identities factor into their experience of the world and their experience in therapy. I believe that people begin to heal the moment they feel heard. While I do incorporate interventions like CBT, EMDR, IFS, and distress tolerance, my first and foremost focus is to be unconditionally on your team and on your side. Past clients have told me that I am a natural listener and am genuine and warm in how I relate to people. When I am not obsessing over the personality psychology phenomenon known as the enneagram, I enjoy laying in the sun with a good podcast, jogging the Atlanta beltline, reading, cooking, yoga, and exploring the local food scene.

It can be really overwhelming searching for the right therapist, especially with the amount of help available. It may even add to the stress, anxiety, and indecision you’re already feeling. You may have an idea of what you’re coping with or may be unsure. Perhaps you have had some experience in therapy or this is your first time - maybe you feel you’ve tried everything and still no relief. No matter where you are in your mental health journey, I hope to provide you with your own unique treatment experience. I am a licensed clinical psychologist based out of Evolve Counseling and Wellness and I specialize in helping people to get relief from OCD, anxiety, phobias, negative body image, disordered eating, and trauma. I use evidence-based practices that have been shown to be effective, while remaining sensitive to the impact of the world we live in on each client's presenting concerns, identity, and individual situation. I tailor interventions to help you to get unstuck, get in touch with your resilient self, and be able to live the life you want to live. I also incorporate context, choice, collaboration, and connection in the therapy space. I believe your trust must be earned, and I work to build a supportive, warm, and transparent environment that promotes growth, autonomy, and exploration. It takes effort and vulnerability to feel better and I am here to support you as you navigate towards improved health.
Not unlike many within this field, my own experiences with mental health influenced my decision to become a therapist. Through my own struggles in my young life, I found a passion for hearing other people’s experiences and empowering others to identify and utilize their strengths in moments of hardship. A couple of areas I specialize in navigating are: Ideas of perfectionism Developing self-compassion Exploring one’s cultural identity Coping with and understanding feeling “not good enough" Overcoming the stress of living up to expectations (cultural, intrapersonal, societal, parental) Setting boundaries Feeling torn between two or more cultures Feelings of shame, worry, or guilt I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and I have a particular skill in working with people of color, first and second-generation immigrants, and folks new to therapy. Additionally, I deeply understand, honor, and respect the South Asian and Middle Eastern religions and cultures.
I consider therapy a collaborative practice in communication and connection, and work with couples and individuals. My open-minded and accepting approach to therapy helps people heal trauma, process loss, manage stress, make strong decisions and better understand relationships. I draw from many different disciplines to treat the whole person. Welcoming and practical, my approach doesn’t depend on any specific philosophy—I get to know you, your needs and your goals—then tailor the experience to fit you and your life. My life’s work has focused on progressive and holistic education and wellness. Comfortable connecting with all types of people, I've counseled and taught in settings from farms to prisons to corporate offices. I started my practice in early 2015 while also developing an Emotional Intelligence curriculum that I teach to urban, high-tech professionals, start-ups, and corporations. I have an M.A. and Ed.M in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University with a focus in Multicultural Counseling. I have been trained in anti-racism and LGBT SafeZone, yoga and meditation, and strength-based interpersonal psychotherapy with Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) components. My specialization with couples is Emotionally Focused Therapy, for which I recommend first reading Sue Johnson's Hold Me Tight. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

It all starts with a good therapist. Hi, I’m Dr. Dominique Thomas. I specialize in supporting students who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or like they’re carrying more than people realize. Many of the students I work with are balancing academics, mental health, family expectations, and relationship struggles, all while trying to figure out who they are and what matters most to them. If your mind feels like it’s always going, or you’re juggling a lot emotionally and mentally, you’re not alone band you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I work best with students navigating ADHD, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, identity questions, family conflict, and relationship challenges. You might be the strong one in your circle, the first in your family to pursue higher education, or someone who shows up for others while silently burning out. This space is for you. In therapy, we’ll explore the patterns and pressures shaping your experience and create practical, affirming strategies that actually work for your life. My approach is warm, culturally sensitive, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be with more clarity, confidence, and peace. If you’re feeling stuck, misunderstood, or just emotionally exhausted, know that support is available and healing is possible. I’m here to walk with you.
Mental Health, especially in the minority cultures, is a touchy subject. It’s difficult to talk about and even more difficult to do something about. The most important thing in therapy is finding the right therapist for you. As a first generation, South Asian-American woman, I understand both cultures and the struggles that come with trying to blend the two. I strive to create an environment in which clients feel comfortable and at ease to facilitate sharing. You are the expert on your life and your experiences. I am here to help you gain better understanding of yourself so you can feel more confident in your decisions and in life. I work with you to determine your goals for therapy and support you along your therapeutic journey. I currently work with adolescents and adults. I have experience working with clients of all ages with challenges of trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, self-worth, self-identity, ADHD, perinatal mental health, and social skills. I am passionate about helping you find your voice and feeling empowered to use it.
