Phone calls generally work best, as I occasionally miss emails, so if you email me, please follow up with a phone call. I look forward to speaking with you - let’s see if I would be a good match for your needs! INSURANCE NOTE: I do take Aetna Student Health insurance, however I'm not a CORE provider (Tier 1). I am an In-network (Tier 2), preferred provider with Aetna, and Aetna Student Health Insurance will have a different rate/copy, &/or coinsurance amount for Tier 2 providers than for CORE providers. Although I may be able to explain potential differences in coverage, I encourage you to check your insurance benefits for the differences between in-and out-of-network providers and the difference between core and non-core providers, whether your deductible has been met, and the required copay/co-insurance information for the cost of the session prior to making an appointment.

I belong to a well established practice in the local area with 10 fully licensed clinicians. All major insurances are accepted and there is a negotiable sliding scale for self pay clients. Our office is located right next to Perimeter Mall off of Ashford-Dunwoody Road. I myself have several years of experience working with dual diagnosis clients in methadone clinics and with a wide variety of clients in private practices. I have also worked as an Adjunct Professor and have much experience working with college age clients. I was the friendly, approachable assistant type of professor whom everyone came to with their problems. I have been an overseas student and know first hand how difficult various challenges for college age people can be. At times I have been too shy to go to the cafeteria. At other times I have abused drugs. I have had friends who were sexually abused on campus. In sum, just about everything that can go wrong in school I have experienced. In addition to his personal experience, I have professional expertise with addiction, sexual abuse, identity issues, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. If you are looking for a compassionate, professional clinician with personal experience of your own issues, please give me a call.

Stepping out to share your most sacred and deep thoughts takes courage. It takes great strength and courage to reach out in our times of need. I consider it a privilege to join you on your journey and believe deeply in the healing that is possible within the therapeutic process. Our desire for relationships is beautiful. Within relationship we can experience the fullness of this beauty, but often they are what leave us fractured and fragmented. In counseling, I believe, we can put the pieces of us back together to experience personal wholeness once again. When we begin to experience the fullness within ourselves, we then can encounter the beauty of connection and relationship with others. Deeply valuing the uniqueness of each person, I aim to create a safe, compassionate, and authentic space by integrating the whole person into our work. Primarily working from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model, we will seek to reintegrate each disjointed part of us back into the whole, utilizing our mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational parts. My faith is meaningful to me, and I welcome working with people of diverse faith backgrounds and beliefs. Throughout my own journey I have found that sorrow and joy often walk together. In our work together, I desire to hold space for the pain and hurt you have experienced, while also making space for moments of laughter and joy along the way. Within my therapeutic space I seek to create room for the dark and the difficult, as well as recognize the moments we need to take a breath from the heavy, and laugh. I want to follow where you lead. In my free time I love cooking, enjoying the outdoors with my husband, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing soccer, coaching athletes of all ages and stages, and laughing with my friends and family!
I specialize in working with girls, women, and gender-expansive individuals navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Many of my clients are highly self-aware and emotionally sensitive, yet feel overwhelmed by the weight of expectations, inner criticism, or the pressure to keep functioning while struggling beneath the surface. If you're a young adult or adult, you may be in a season of transition, burnout, or disconnection. You might be questioning your worth, your direction, or your relationship with your body and mind. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and begin to move forward with clarity and self-compassion. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection. My style of therapy meets you where you are, honoring your lived experience while gently guiding you toward deeper healing.
As a partner in your growth, I acknowledge and accept that each person is unique, and has his/her own story. My range of expertise, including mindfulness practices, trauma recovery, and men’s health, are all tailored to meet your specific needs and reach your goals. Whether you’re experiencing stress from day-to-day, anxiety, trauma, anger, or relationship challenges, I offer a safe, judgment-free space to help you better navigate those obstacles by building upon the strengths you already have, developing new tools, and shifting focus to the present, in order to foster more effective and sustainable growth.
Can you remember the last time you didn’t feel stressed? Has stress become your new normal? You feel depressed and have unrelenting anxiety. You feel stuck and wish the world would slow down. And your body is in a knot - stomach aches, muscle tension, stiff neck, tight jaw. You might be struggling from a lifelong illness, like cancer, going through a life changing event like divorce or job loss, or grieving the loss of a loved one, or don't know why you feel the way you do. You just know you don't like it and you want to feel better. Something has GOT to change. As a Body Psychotherapist, I believe our emotional burden is held in our bodies. Working with the body is essential for emotional health. I approach healing by addressing root causes of stress. Together, we’ll create a personalized and holistic plan for our work together. You’ll find yourself sleeping better, breathing deeper, and smiling with greater ease. I believe it is important to meet one another before we begin work, which is why I offer a free 30 minute zoom consultation. I know it can be difficult to reach out for help, so If we are not the right fit, I will help you find a better connection. Reach out for a free consultation. I look forward to working with you.

Unlike other therapists who believe that the mind is the key to unlocking everything, I believe in the holistic perspective of working with mind, emotions, and body. I have over 400-hours of certifications on the most scientifically backed approaches towards holistic healing which combines physiology, psychology, biology, neuroscience, and ancient Chinese healing practices. Through my sessions you will learn how the mind-body connection helps open neuropathways to healing. The skillset you learn in session will become a part of your "toolset" on your life- long journey towards happiness and wellbeing. I will not wholly agree with you, or "uh huh" you too much. I will push you, heal you, and help you in your apprenticeship to the truth.
Hi, I'm Madeline! At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the power of authentic, meaningful human connection. From a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, I strive to meet each client exactly where they are, with empathy, gentle care, and acceptance. As a fellow creative, I love incorporating play, art, and expressive tools into the therapy process. With specialized training in play therapy and expressive arts approaches, enjoy using creative, personalized interventions to empower clients as they express themselves, explore and gain insight into emotions and experiences, and build on their unique strengths. I believe therapy should be a safe, developmentally appropriate space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I also value collaboration, partnering with families to offer helpful resources and build a strong support system rooted in trust that nurtures growth and healing. Before joining the team at Early Connections, I worked with children, teens, and young adults in a community mental health setting, offering individual and family counseling to those navigating anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, suicidal ideation, childhood trauma, school challenges, and adjustment. I’ve also supported undergraduate college students through social, emotional, and academic challenges in a university setting. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a research assistant, focusing on suicide prevention in vulnerable populations. These valuable experiences have all shaped my heart for this work. I’m especially passionate about supporting others through anxiety, depression, stress, life changes, trauma, grief and loss, and issues related to emotional regulation, identity, and self-worth. I earned my Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from the University of Georgia, where I also studied Human Services and Human Development and Family Science. I received my Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. I am an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), working towards full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and pursuing my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. I’m also an active member of the American Counseling Association and Association for Play Therapy. As an Associate Professional Counselor, I will be working under the supervision of Lauren Brown, LPC, NCC, RPT-S, the owner of Early Connections Child and Family Counseling. Outside of the counseling space, I’m someone who recharges through creativity and connection. I enjoy a good art project, playing guitar, reading, exploring new coffee shops, and spending quality time with my loved ones. I’m so glad that you are here. I’d be honored to connect with you and walk alongside you on your journey!
Life can feel heavy, but you don’t have to carry that weight alone.
