I am motivated to serve my community by merging my clinical expertise and lived experience. This looks like a focus on work with trans people. I believe strongly that trans clients deserve trans clinicians. I also serve folks with chronic illness and neurodiversity. Trauma is an experience that most of us have and I center it in all the work I do. I am a somatic therapist. This means I am passionate about your mental and physical health. I use modalities such as Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist my clients on their path to heal in response to stress and trauma. If you feel compelled to work with me please reach out. I am easily available by phone or email so we can talk more. I am accepting new clients and hungry to work with folks in my community!
Unlike other therapists who believe that the mind is the key to unlocking everything, I believe in the holistic perspective of working with mind, emotions, and body. I have over 400-hours of certifications on the most scientifically backed approaches towards holistic healing which combines physiology, psychology, biology, neuroscience, and ancient Chinese healing practices. Through my sessions you will learn how the mind-body connection helps open neuropathways to healing. The skillset you learn in session will become a part of your "toolset" on your life- long journey towards happiness and wellbeing. I will not wholly agree with you, or "uh huh" you too much. I will push you, heal you, and help you in your apprenticeship to the truth.

I have years of experience working with students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels in different settings. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. As a licensed psychologist having worked at different settings and with different age groups, I appreciate the nuance that each person brings to the therapy or assessment room. I work collaboratively with clients to figure out the solutions that will best meet each individual’s specific needs. For some, that can mean implementing certain strategies and solutions, while others might require a closer look at one’s identity and close relationships to determine a good path forward. I do my best to ensure that you feel valued, understood, and respected. I specialize in therapy of children, adolescents, and young adults. I have special interests in areas of treatment involving anxiety, depression, attention and learning difficulties, self-esteem and self-exploration, men’s issues, and online gaming and technology addictions. I incorporate tenets of CBT and psychodynamic therapy in my work. I highly value the rapport and connections I build with my clients, as they play the biggest role in determining the outcomes of treatment. If you're interested in starting therapy or assessment services, please don't hesitate to contact me. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you.

Adapting to new environments, personalities and requirements can be a difficult transition for college students and their families. Additionally, social pressures, feelings of depression and anxiety are common. Unexpected stresses, failures or even success can bring a variety of emotions that may feel overwhelming. I work with individuals (and their families when appropriate and desired by the client) to process experiences, feelings and assist in discovering strengths and coping skills.
Regardless of what brings you to counseling, my goal is to truly understand you as a human being and the unique perspectives, experiences, and identities that you bring into the room and how best to support and challenge you in your growth. My hope as your counselor is that you can bring your authentic self and feel safe to dive deep and gain insight and self-awareness so that you can make the change you are looking for. I feel honored to sit with clients and be entrusted with their stories. I am often inspired by my clients and the things they share. I want counseling to feel collaborative and for you to have a say in your experience, therefore, openness, communication and feedback is so important to me. I specialize in trauma, religious trauma, self-harm, grief and loss, identity exploration, self-esteem, life transitions, substance use, and process addictions. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals exploring their identity, gender, and/or sexual orientation. As a former athlete, I also enjoy supporting athletes managing performance pressures and daily stressors. Occasionally we all struggle to stay "on top" of things, or have a hard time keeping up with everything we need to do in a day. For some of us, it's a little more than that. It's constant scrolling through social media to give your brain a break, and that break turns into an hour. Or procrastinating simple tasks like finishing an assignment, or sending an email. Maybe you're having a hard time just waking up and getting out of bed in the morning. It's distressing to feel like you're struggling and not know how to fix it. If this sounds like you, just know: things can get better! Anxiety and depression don't have to rule your life. I'd love to work together with you on topics of general anxiety, self-confidence, identity issues, relationship issues, faith/religious questioning, perfectionism, and depression (and more!). As a CBT therapist, I help you identify areas of difficulty in your routine so we can build skills like self-awareness, coping mechanisms, and self-esteem. We are all learning how to do this thing called Life. And you can learn how to live happily and authentically! I aim to provide a calming space where we can slow down, and work together to better understand and accept the person that you are, and the person you want to be.
