It is my goal as a therapist to help each person become their best self. I help individuals facing personal challenges and work to form a pathway to uncover solutions. I bring a solid understanding of everyday challenges to our sessions. We will work together in order for you to gain growth and inner strength. I strongly believe in the relationship between the therapist and client, and treat each situation with the utmost care. Mutual trust is imperative to successful therapy.
Dawn specializes in developmental (what happened to you when you were a kid) and relational (what hurt you in relationships) trauma through the lens of attachment helping you look at your relationships with clear eyes. Often we bring into our relationships ways of being that while helpful when we were younger now may no longer serve us. Therapy can build on the strengths you already have and disrupt those that are no longer useful. In addition to working with trauma Dawn works with individuals to cope with adjustment/life transitions, anxiety, identity concerns and relationship concerns. Dawn utilizes a variety of therapy modalities including: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), EFIT (Emotion Focused Individual Therapy) IFS (Internal Family Systems)-informed/DNMS (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy), Mindful Self Compassion and Somatic practices. She comes from a strengths-based, person-centered perspective and will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that honors all aspects of your identity. Dawn is passionate about working people with marginalized and intersecting identities and strongly believes that the things that make us different are often our super powers. Works with individuals 20+
Sometimes we feel stuck. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed. Sometimes we feel bad and we don't know why. My goal is to help you trailblaze through the forest of life with an improved sense of self and sense of direction. To facilitate this process I use a variety of self-assessment tools and provide self-care education. Sessions will involve talk-therapy and may include use of worksheets, journaling, charting, and art-based interventions. I also incorporate the healing power of humor, when appropriate. I will partner with you to help you feel comfortable in your own skin and confident in each step you take towards growth.
Life can feel heavy when past experiences, expectations, or constant pressures make it difficult to find joy in the present. Many clients begin therapy because they are feeling anxious, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or uncertain how to navigate big changes. I strive to create a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and start to untangle the weight you carry without judgment or pressure to have it all figured out. Together, we can work toward healing and reconnecting with the parts of your life that feel most meaningful. I hold a Doctorate in Professional Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals and families across diverse mental health settings, including adult corrections, juvenile justice, residential treatment, outpatient clinics, schools, and private practice. My work is trauma-informed and draws from evidence-based interventions, but sessions always center on you as a person, not a diagnosis. You do not need to have the right words or a clear plan to get started. If you are curious about therapy or wondering whether this could be a good fit, I invite you to reach out and take the first step.

I understand that deciding to start therapy can be difficult. At one point in my life, I was faced with that same decision. Often, the hardest part of therapy is looking in the mirror and confronting the experiences and choices that brought you to this moment. It takes courage to acknowledge your feelings and commit to making a change for yourself. My therapeutic style is client-centered, rooted in the belief that genuine, collaborative relationships form the cornerstone of meaningful healing and growth. This integrative framework allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change. You can expect their first session with me to be warm, exploratory, unveiling, and empowering, a mix of thoughtful reflection, practical goal-setting, and gentle curiosity about what’s driving current challenges and how to create positive change.
Hi there! My name is Sarah. As both a counselor and music therapist, I specialize in bringing music and expression into mental health. I believe that we need to process our emotions and experiences through more than just words. I help clients to explore who they are, who they want to be, and how to find balance in a life that feels authentic for them. I integrate several therapeutic modalities, with a focus of shifting out of our heads and into the body.

It can seem scary and uncomfortable to reach out to a stranger and be expected to share very personal details of your life. My office is located in Littleton, Colorado, easily accessible from Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Morrison, Lakewood, and Denver. Both in-person sessions and telehealth options available, extending services throughout Colorado and Georgia. I work with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life stress, grief and psychosis. I am trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, Interpersonal therapy and use various integrated approaches in sessions. We will dig into the hard stuff, but we will also have a little fun while doing it! Do you want to feel connected to others? Are you looking to transform an emotional wound? Are you seeking hope? You deserve to feel known and seen and understood. You deserve to feel permanent. As a queer, nonbinary, polyamorous therapist, I understand the importance of developing secure attachments in order to navigate the world. I offer individual and relationship therapy. I work with teens, young adults, and adults to explore gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I take a collaborative approach to the therapeutic relationship and tailor sessions to your goals in therapy. As we work together this may look like traditional talk therapy or an embodied drama therapy approach. If you are looking for a therapeutic modality that moves beyond verbal processing into a somatic practice, drama therapy is a good option. Through metaphor, we can explore trauma while minimizing retraumatization. We can explore roles like the hero, the optimist, and the child. Through play, we can connect and transform.

Hello! I'm so glad you're taking this step for your mental health. I went to the therapy for the first time while attending college (at USC too!), and it was pivotal for me. I really value working with college students, and genuinely appreciate how much you have to do deal with. Maybe you're struggling with transitions - adjusting to the start of college, or facing the daunting landscape post-graduation. Maybe you can feel all the pressures mounting to the point where you feel paralyzed and burnt out and confused. Maybe you'd like for just one thing - anything - to be taken off your plate, or for the load to be shared somehow. Maybe you're even trying to figure yourself out beyond the story that's been your life so far. I'd like to help make things seem clearer, or kinder, or safer, and I think we can do it together. I offer 45-minute sessions, as well as longer 90-minute sessions, to fit what you might need best. I also offer letters for medical transition, disability, ESA, and can complete return to school forms.
At Stillwell Athens, we offer both individual counseling and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to support college students and all young adults who are navigating emotional, relational, or life transitions. We provide different levels of care so clients can access the amount of support they need, whether that’s weekly therapy or more structured, consistent treatment, without stepping away from school, work, or daily responsibilities. Our approach is relational, developmentally informed, and evidence-based. We work with individuals, couples, and families using modalities such as CBT and DBT, alongside experiential and creative approaches when appropriate. We regularly support college students and young adults adjusting to independence, academic or career stress, and relationship challenges, as well as adults and parents managing changing family dynamics, identity shifts, and major life decisions. For those who need more than individual therapy alone, our IOP provides increased structure, group support, and clinical care while remaining fully outpatient. This option is well-suited for clients who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or in need of additional accountability and connection. 10-15 hours of therapeutic support per week. At Stillwell, we focus on helping our clients build insight, develop practical skills, and strengthen the supports that allow for meaningful, sustainable change. You don't have to put your life on hold or compromise your mental health and wellbeing.
Aloft Healing Studios offers trauma-informed counseling to help you uncover how past experiences may be keeping you stuck and causing you disturbance, anxiety, depression, and problems in your relationships. We accept you just as you are and support you as you begin to understand yourself more deeply and resolve challenges in your life.
Healing begins with understanding - and you don’t have to do it on your own. My approach to therapy is rooted in helping you gently explore who you are and how you move through the world. Together, we’ll work to loosen the grip of fear and shame so you can reclaim your story with compassion and confidence. In our work, I’ll support you in recognizing patterns that no longer serve you and help you in shifting them to create space for growth and healing. We will work to strengthen self-trust, improve emotional regulation, and develop a clearer sense of identity. College students come to me to understand their underlying beliefs and emotional experiences that contribute to academic stress, anxiety about life after college, people-pleasing, perfectionism, general anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping young adults navigate difficult family dynamics, set boundaries with themselves and others, and improve self-esteem. Wherever you are on your journey, I am dedicated to supporting you as you work toward healing.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, stress, burnout, or just trying to find your way. We’re here to help you feel seen, supported, and more like yourself again. Do you struggle with getting out of bed, intrusive thoughts, or worries that keep you from being your best self? As a child of immigrants, do you experience anxiety and depression shaped by cultural expectations and family pressures? My ideal client seeks a safe space to explore these challenges. They want to break free from patterns of self-doubt and stress, develop healthier coping skills, and achieve a sense of self-acceptance and clarity in order to thrive, not just survive. Am I American enough? Desi enough? I work with first-generation immigrants, South Asians, Muslims, women, and young adults. I also enjoy supporting those navigating women’s health issues and chronic pain. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the balance between assimilation and cultural expectations and can help navigate dual identities. If these struggles resonate with you, I’d be honored to partner with you on your journey to healing and growth. Taking the first step toward change is powerful, and I’m proud of you for considering it. I’m here to support you in creating the best version of yourself, and I look forward to being part of your healing process.
Adjusting to college life can be difficult on so many levels. I can help with anxiety and depression issues that you've been struggling with for a long time or that are new to you. Issues I often see are related to adjusting to being independent for the first time, the rigor of school, or navigating new social circles. I have special expertise in helping folks with body-focused repetitive behaviors (skin picking, hair pulling) as well as being training in cognitive behavioral treatment of insomnia.
