In our work together it is my ultimate goal to help you overcome life's challenges and experience a vital, joyful and purposeful life. My clinical training is deeply rooted in a humanistic/holistic approach to treatment and utilizes many experientially based interventions. My style is solution focused, yet creative. A licensed clinician of 32 years, I have worked extensively with adolescents, young adults, families and couples, addressing a multitude of mental health concerns. I invite you to call for a free 15 minute consult to see if I may be a good fit based on your unique needs. I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship itself can be innately healing, and that establishing rapport quickly is crucial to supporting you in the work we do together. Having recently relocated from New Jersey where I still work via Telehealth, I am now accepting clients in Colorado as well. I hope to meet you, and wish you the best on your healing journey.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by academic pressures, going through a painful break-up, or struggling with making new friends or fitting in? Is FOMO taking over and making it difficult to commit or to be present with whatever you are doing? Is social media making you feel inadequate? Maybe your college experience thus far has been different or disappointing from what you had hoped it would be. I specialize in working with the college student population. I have considerable experience working with your age group, both in my private practice and, previously, at CU’s counseling center. My primary goal is to help you achieve your full potential so that your college or graduate experience is one that is fulfilling and meaningful. You may feel stuck, but things can change…. there is hope! Please call, email or schedudle an appointment directly on my website.

My journey into the world of mental health services has come through my own struggles with adoption trauma, addiction, and long-term depression. Such conditions have made me an avid researcher of the human mind and heart, and a passionate experimenter of the means by which we transform both. This research and experimentation has (thankfully) fine-tuned my relationship skills and made me fluent in many languages of internal exploration. The most impactful of all of these have been the practices of meditation and somatic psychotherapy. I have spent nearly twenty years exploring them in depth and I would love to share them with you.

I have served as a therapist to young adults and adults in the front range area for 10 years. Sometimes words don't cut it. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking a safe space to explore your inner world? Art therapy uses tools that take traditional talk therapy to the next level by giving you an embodied experience. The heart of my practice is believing people are their own experts. You are the ONLY you with your exact values, experiences, routines, heartaches, and desires. I want you to feel seen, foster a deeper understanding of your journey, and find answers and solace through your own innate intuition. If you're new to art therapy you may not be aware of how creativity can open new doors of understanding and connection. Sometimes we get stuck on a judgmental message from 1st grade that we aren’t “good” at artmaking. Well, I say forget that! You ARE inherently creative and it’s okay to heal using both the logical AND intuitive sides of your brain. You get to lead at your comfort level and I will authentically support you using tools and techniques (whether open-ended or more structured) to guide you. If you are seeking space to work through an issue you're having, improve self-esteem, cope with anxiety or depression, manage stress, deal with relationship or parenting issues, process trauma, or just vent, consider reaching out to me.
If you're looking to heal past trauma, mend broken relationships, sort through major life transitions, or just get some general support, I am here to help. I believe that regardless of who you are, what you've done, or what you've been through, you deserve to feel good in your life, and you can feel good. Using the strengths you already have, and tools you may not yet have, together we will find a way forward. My clients say I have a calming presence, and that they feel seen, heard, and understood in sessions.
