My degrees are Bachelor of Fine Art, and Masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy. I have trained in Trauma modalities, Somatic Body based psychotherapy, Addiction counseling, art therapy, IFS, crisis intervention and supervision. My two decades of study and practice of Buddhist meditation, inform and deepen the space I hold in the therapeutic relationship. Individuals struggling with suicidal ideation can come to The Hope Institute for treatment, to increase hope, and obtain the ability to safely wait for ongoing outpatient care, when needed. Our approach is unique, as it is based in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), two of the most effective, evidence-based models currently available for treating suicidality. With the use of CAMS and DBT, the clinician and client will work together to solve problems. CAMS is an evidenced-based therapeutic framework for suicide-specific assessment and treatment of a patient’s suicidal risk. Each session of CAMS intentionally utilizes the patient’s input about what is and is not working. All assessment work in CAMS is collaborative; we seek to have the patient be a “co-author” of their own treatment plan (CAMS-care, 2024). DBT is a type of talk therapy that gives clients skills in regulating their emotions, tolerating distress, maintaining healthy relationships, practicing mindfulness and thinking from perspectives other than their own. THI is home to multiple clinicians who are certified and trained in CAMS and DBT. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based behavior focused treatment intended to help clients build a life worth living while reducing suicidal and self-harming behaviors. Parent and teen groups are available. DBT groups provide clients with five core skills to manage intense emotions and enhance day-to-day life: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and dialects.

Hey! I’m Tim, and I specialize in helping high schoolers, college students, and young adults find meaning and feel more grounded. Life as a young person can be tough. You might be struggling with anxious thoughts and feelings, navigating your relationships and responsibilities, and building your identity. It’s understandable if you feel overwhelmed by these things, and therapy can help. I provide a friendly, nonjudgemental space to help you learn more about yourself, create change, and ultimately feel better. I have extensive experience working with students at CU Boulder or BVSD schools. I also have personal experience in therapy as a young adult, so I deeply understand how challenging this time in life can be, and how much therapy can help. I work hard to make sure that each of our sessions together will feel productive, cathartic, and even enjoyable. Therapy with me consists of lots of learning, healthy confrontation, and usually some laughter. Our work together can help you take tangible steps towards your goals. Book a free consultation today to get started! I look forward to connecting with you.

Clients who I work best with want to know something about themselves. They may be suffering with any number of symptoms, but also have a curiosity. Maybe there is a sense of something still to be discovered. Through my work with Inner World Building, a hands on, active, somatic therapy, the unknown can be known, felt and expressed in a way that words can't. Not sure if this approach is for you? Feel free to try a demo session and decide for yourself if the method will be useful. The base of this therapy is making, building in the sand and with the figures; not talk therapy. But talking and integrating one's experience is an additive important part of the process.
I am a seasoned psychotherapist with over 20 years experience. I help people to rapidly get to the core issues which keep them stuck in their lives, be it difficulties in their relationships or chronic depression/anger/anxiety, to name a few. The avoidance of painful thoughts/feelings, either from past or recent events is what creates suffering. When we avoid these painful experiences, we develop symptoms or problems. The treatment approaches I use are evidence-based, meaning they've been researched, tested, and proven to work. My work integrates somatic experiencing, attachment and psychodynamic theory, and CBT. I take Aetna insurance, but not Aetna EAP.
Hi! My name is Alicia, and I want to meet you. Yes, you! College can be intense. You're away from home with the pressure to succeed and do well, but there's also dealing with roommates, parties, and being around people who resemble aliens. You know, they just don't get you and you've never encountered anyone quite like them before. On top of this, you may be the first in your family to go to college. You can't admit to them that it's hard. They had all their hopes and dreams riding on you. So where to go? Come to therapy! Yes, therapy. It may be your first time talking to someone, but I promise it helps to tell someone what you're thinking and what you're feeling. College doesn't have to be scary, and you don't have to go through it alone. We can figure it out together. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with many college students, especially those who identify as first-gen and/or veterans. Therapy with me is conversational. In sessions, you can speak freely. I'm not into judging. That would probably make me a lousy therapist. I offer thoughtful reflection and point out patterns in your behavior that may not be the most helpful, and then we problem-solve and strategize solutions to help get you feeling better. I can also teach you skills to help when your emotions feel overwhelming.
Hi, welcome to my practice! My main goal is to help you rediscover your true self. My approach to psychotherapy is holistic. Healing is most effective if it addresses the full range of the human experience, including body, mind and spirit. This understanding is rooted in my personal journey of healing in different wisdom traditions of the world. I have received training in shamanic traditions of South, Central, and North America. I completed my yoga teacher training in India, studied massage therapy in Thailand and have practiced Chinese martial arts for several years. Additionally, I worked for three years as a wilderness field guide in a wilderness treatment program with and emphasis on addiction. In my practice, I focus on somatic or body-based therapy, as well internal family systems and transpersonal psychotherapy. Some of my areas of expertise are trauma, addiction, sexuality, identity, anxiety and depression. I do talk therapy, as well as ketamine and cannabis-assisted therapy. I am devoted to being an unconditional support to my clients, walking beside them as they heal their deepest wounds and rediscover the wisdom of their body along the way.

Hi there! My name is Ainsley Nuhn, I am a licensed psychotherapist in Boulder, Colorado I am also the owner of Reframe Counseling. LLC. Reframe Counseling is a place for people to receive therapeutic services for a variety of issues including: Stress, Anxiety disorders, Trauma recovery, OCD, Depression, ADHD, Relationship Issues, Communication Issues and Transitions. Reframe Counseling is based on the concept that much of what gets in our way to feeling secure is how we are perceiving our experiences, thoughts and feelings- the "frames" in which we see ourselves and the world. The narratives and coping patterns we have adopted may have been useful at one time, however they now may get in the way of us living our best lives. I work with clients to identify what is getting in the way for them. Through empathic support and guidance, I help clients process challenges and adopt healthier ways to manage life. As you are unique and not one modality "fits all", I interweave therapeutic modalities to customize treatment to each person. We will work together to address the issues that are most problematic for you, customizing treatment according to your goals. I offer virtual and in-person sessions. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested in meeting. I offer free initial phone consults and am happy to talk with you about your needs and answer any questions you may have about therapy.
