I am a counselor and wellness coach in the physical and mental wellness space. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic theories and use a person-centered approach, tailoring interventions to align with each client’s unique needs. I believe the relationship between counselor and client is the cornerstone to therapeutic work. My priority is to create a space that encourages authenticity and facilitates healing and positive change. I specialize in Person Centered Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am passionate about individualized health and wellness that supports living life to the fullest.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my work is rooted in helping teens and adults navigate complex trauma, late-diagnosed or suspected neurodivergent experiences, and the deeper questions of identity, relationships, and purpose. Whether you're processing a difficult life transition, untangling a late diagnosis of autism or ADHD, or beginning to understand how past experiences have shaped who you are today, I'm here to help you find clarity, connection, and a path forward. I believe in the power of connection and the idea that every part of you has value, which helps me be a genuine partner in building something that actually works for you. There’s no clipboard here, no one-size-fits-all plan handed down without context. Together, we'll explore who you are, tinker with the pieces, and discover the purpose you came here to find. You can expect warmth, honesty, and a comfortable space that feels both safe and genuine throughout our time together. Drawing on humanistic, neuroscience-based, attachment theory, and solution-focused approaches, we'll explore your relationships, emotions, identity, and purpose in a way that's collaborative from the start. Your plan is built with you, not for you, because your needs, experiences, and goals are the compass for everything we do together. Authentic and curious by nature, I believe that all parts of a person are worth examining and none of them are broken. That conviction shows up in every session. My path to becoming a therapist began in grief counseling and restorative justice intervention, where I witnessed firsthand how much a genuine human connection could change someone's trajectory. That experience deepened my commitment to relationship-centered care, where the therapeutic connection itself is part of the healing process. More than 10 years of advanced training from CU Boulder and Northwestern University ground my clinical practice, but what I bring to the work goes beyond a résumé: vulnerable humanity, genuine curiosity, and the occasional well-timed laugh. Outside of sessions, you'll find me in the boxing gym, tending to my aquariums, or playing percussion in bluegrass and folk music. These pursuits keep me grounded, present, and endlessly curious, qualities I carry into every session with you.

Our mission at Desert to Peaks Psychology is to support you through the peaks and valleys of life by providing collaborative, holistic, and evidence-based psychology and counseling services. Our therapists are person-centered, action-oriented, and grounded in authentic connection. We believe growth happens when our clients feel both deeply supported and gently challenged. We focus on creating space to process experiences while simultaneously helping our clients build new perspectives and take practical steps toward lasting change. We specialize in supporting individuals who appear capable or strong on the outside but are quietly carrying the weight of competing demands, high expectations, self-doubt, stress, burnout, or the persistent feeling that they should be doing more. Our team is well experienced working with anxiety, life transitions, stress, disordered eating and body image concerns, relational concerns, depression, and athletes looking for sports psychology services. Our therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and authentic. We integrate evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and relational and attachment-based therapies. We intuitively blend these approaches help our clients shift self-limiting beliefs, strengthen resilience and self-compassion, and create meaningful change beyond the therapy room.
I aim to guide clients in discovering their patterns and getting off autopilot to begin living a life they choose! I am strongly connected with non-traditional lifestyles and work to cultivate a safe place for all people, most frequently working with clients in queer, non-monogamous, & kink relationships. Most of my clients are wanting to work on issues mostly unrelated to but within the context of these communities and lifestyles, and are tired of having to spend so much time explaining the context to therapists unfamiliar with their world. I also work with folks looking to explore these aspects of themselves for the first time. Growing up, my father's Navy career caused our family to move every 0.5-2.5 years. Since transition was my constant, I developed unique insight into the complex intersection and paradox of excitement, anxiety, fear, resistance, confidence, insecurity, love, and hate that can all be felt simultaneously during times of major change. This is why I love working with college students and helping them to navigate experiences such as: being away from home and re-configuring family relationships; exploring new friendships and romantic relationships; discovering their life path(s); learning a larger variety of ways to cope, communicate, and relate to themselves and the world; and diving more deeply into issues related to identity (e.g. sexuality, gender, higher consciousness, vocation, etc.). I tailor my approach with each of my clients, but primarily utilize mindfulness, experiential activities, and somatic techniques (i.e. deepening the relationship and communication between your mind and body).

Throughout my time in practice, I have worked with a variety of individuals and specialize in working with adults who are struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment and life transitions, family problems, learning problems, and issues related to culture/identity. I use a direct, open, and collaborative approach to foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment for you to engage in creating meaningful change. Ultimately, I want to help you create a life where you are truly thriving. I am passionate about supporting my clients in moving toward goals that will lead to increased fulfillment and overall well-being. Because every person is different, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs, keeping cultural factors and unique identities in mind. If you have been feeling down, anxious, confused, stuck, or are lacking clarity in one or more areas of your life, please contact me. I would love to discuss how we can work together.

What if getting better didn't mean spending years talking about everything that's ever gone wrong? I work with college and grad students to build real, lasting change by providing insight and skills that actually help. With over a decade of clinical work in the US and abroad, I've helped young adults manage anxiety, quiet the perfectionism and imposter syndrome that follow them into every exam and internship, while creating a healthy type of confidence that remains under pressure. My clients describe working with me as supportive, direct, collaborative, and nothing like what they expected therapy to be. We figure out what's driving the pattern. Then we work on changing it. I specialize in: anxiety, burnout and stress, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. My approach pulls from CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness, grounded in a trauma-informed model. You don't have to have it figured out to start. Currently offering Online Therapy throughout Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Vermont, and Florida. Whether you are in Boston, NYC, or Denver, I am ready when you are.

With more than a decade of experience in healthcare, I'm a professional counselor who works with people of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on adolescents and young adults. Depression, anxiety, stress management, and identity-related challenges are where I focus my support, helping you navigate the mental and emotional shifts that affect your growth and identity. I believe in innate dignity at all times, which shapes the empathetic, encouraging therapeutic relationship I build with you. Together, we can build a path toward flourishing. My approach keeps treatment as simple as possible. Together, we build a roadmap by asking three questions: Where are you now? Where do you want to be? And how do you get there, in light of the challenges you're facing? Your growth is something I'm passionate about, and I believe we're all striving to experience goodness and flourishing in every area of our lives. How we get there looks different for each of us, so my goal is to help you build the skills and perspectives you need to thrive in every situation. That work happens in sessions that are lighthearted and engaging, designed to both challenge and encourage you. I draw on EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help build your confidence, which translates into a therapeutic style that's relaxed and empathetic, tailored to your unique blend of personal, professional, and social desires. My path to becoming a therapist began as a traveling sports medicine professional. As I worked with athletes recovering from serious physical injuries, I learned that their ability to return to sport was not dictated by their body, but by their mind. This experience led me to engage fully with clinical mental health counseling, as each of us experiences challenges that can become obstacles or springboards. I bring a clinical perspective that considers the mental and the physical experiences of life to each session. Outside the therapy room, you’ll most often find me enjoying sporting and outdoor activities.

Micah Duke is dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and board-certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He has nearly two decades of experience helping adults and children in crisis and emergency situations. Micah self-identifies as a "professional student" and understands the many stresses associated with leaving home and attending college. He believes in a holistic, person-centered approach to mental health that focuses on both the physical and mental stresses of life. With more than 20 years of nursing experience, I specialize in psychiatry and medication management for adults navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, OCD, and ADHD. My focus on individualized treatment means that every plan we build together is tailored to you — your experiences, your story, and your goals. Understanding your journey and aspirations is what allows me to understand you, and that knowledge shapes everything about how we work together. When we work together, you can expect a genuinely supportive and compassionate experience, as I prioritize creating a safe space where you feel understood and valued. Staying current with the latest advancements in mental health treatment is also essential to me, because it allows me to offer you the most effective and innovative care. My holistic approach brings these evidence-based practices together with personal insight, so that our sessions are responsive to who you are and what you actually need. Together, we will navigate your path toward healing with empathy and dedication. My path to psychiatric care was shaped by watching people I love face the challenges of mental health struggles and the difficulty of finding care that was truly personalized to them. This experience profoundly influenced my commitment to providing personalized and compassionate support. Now, I approach every appointment with the understanding that feeling heard is not a luxury in mental health care, but the starting point. My goal is to make sure you feel seen and understood as we work together on your well-being. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that help me maintain a healthy work-life balance. Whether hiking through nature, paddle boarding on tranquil waters, rafting down thrilling rivers, or spending quality time with my family, I believe that these experiences enrich my life and enhance my ability to care for others
