Are you someone whose checked many of the boxes in life but have found yourself in a less than ideal relationship? One day it’s all good, and the next day it’s all bad. You feel alone, isolated…like you can’t talk to anyone about what’s going on. You might feel embarrassed or what’s happening might just feel indescribable? You wish you could talk to your partner about it, but his mood is so unpredictable, you’re not sure if that’s even safe. Not to mention, sharing your experience with family or friends could mean having to face their judgment and receive unhelpful advice to "just leave." I specialize in supporting Black women who are struggling with communication and self-doubt in their intimate relationship. You’ll learn to be more assertive, set boundaries and increase confidence. My style is anti-therapist-y. Like talking to one of the girls but with a certain set of skills. Progressive and safe with a sprinkle of woo. You deserve to be supported by someone who’s “been there, done that” and can create a safe space for you to speak freely, learn to show up as your full self and have the peaceful relationship you want and deserve! Visit my website to schedule a free 15-minute call and let's find out if we're a good fit to get started.
If you are reading this you are likely ready for a shift or change in your life. How to proceed in creating a more satisfying life is often confusing, but it is possible. If we listen deeply and compassionately enough to the wisdom of our body and mind the obstacles to our wholeness can become the catalysts of deeper awareness, meaning, agency and fulfillment. I aim to help you explore both the known and unknown parts of yourself so that you can more easily navigate your inner world, your relationships with others and the complex demands of being human.

This may involve setting healthy boundaries, processing and working through grief and debilitating feelings, or changing your irrational thoughts that negatively affect your behavior and experiences. I aim is to assist you on your journey of self-healing. I believe that we all deserve to live a joyous and fulfilled life. Many of the stressors in life can create a host of negative feelings, reactions, behaviors, and symptoms. In our society, there is great injustice that happens regularly and because of that many communities suffer in silence because they are not accepted. As a Black and Samoan woman, I have experienced first hand, the racial and gender hate crimes that used to cause me immense stress where I fell into a deep depression. Through my own therapy, I learned positive ways to manage my overwhelming thoughts and feelings while validating myself and my experiences. I no longer suffer from anxiety and my depressive symptoms are easier to handle, I also practice mindfulness everyday for overall wellbeing. We all belong and are all worthy. Healing is not linear, but it is possible! If you want to learn more about how I can be of assistance to you, feel free to send me a message.
I have personal, lived experience with all of my primary areas of focus. I have a wide array of specialties because life presented many unexpected changes that resulted in a fulfilling career. I remember feeling out of place throughout my childhood, but I didn't know how to convey my feelings. My childhood was always unpredictable and chaotic so I was able to recognize those things in others. I didn't understand what I was feeling at the time, but I remember thinking, "how is no one seeing this or saying anything?". From a young age I had a deep sense of connection to the unmet needs of others. I was always told that I was "resilient" but I didn't want to have to be that, it didn't feel fair. Through my own personal growth I learned how to transform my emotional wounds into a way to serve others. We can't undo what was done to us, but we can take charge of how our needs are met from this point forward. I am a Depth psychotherapist and strongly rely upon experiential therapy. This means that you can expect to address the underlying deeper issues. One of the strongest components of the therapeutic process is receiving validation and genuine understanding. This results in a vulnerable and open relationship between the client and the clinician. I have a diverse background and support issues in my practice, that I have personally experienced. I have worked in a variety of mental health, rehabilitation, and addiction settings, including both: in-patient psychiatric hospitals, treatment facilities, residential, and outpatient programs, as well as caregiving facilities for persons experiencing disabilities. I spent the first part of my career as a clinical case manager working with the homeless, veterans, and persons experiencing addiction and acute mental illness. My practice focuses on assisting individuals in establishing a centered approach to their lives by digging up the past and connecting to their core values. Some of the most important aspects in my life include: advocacy, rehabilitation, fostered autonomy, and being in-tune with the needs of a wide variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I rely on your intuition and guide you to reaching your empowered self. Together we will connect to your mind, body, and unmet emotional needs. I will help you recognize and understand how your emotions impact your thoughts and decisions. I will help you develop awareness of your internal thoughts, foster insight into your body’s responses, and teach you to listen through somatic awareness.

Hi! I'm Jill! I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with young adults and teens facing challenges including cancer and chronic illnesses, anxiety, stress management, life transitions and adjustments to college or adulthood, relationship issues, grief and loss. I am available by video for all California or Florida residents. In addition to my private practice, I have facilitated cancer support groups and grief support groups for young adults and teens since 2013.
As an integrative mind-body psychotherapist, I help my client’s overcome a range of issues including childhood trauma and relationships challenges. I enjoy working with both individuals and couples and I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, sexuality, and relationships. Childhood trauma can be challenging to navigate and overcome, but with a compassionate and informed approach, healing and breakthrough is truly possible. I help clients who are frustrated with the results they have gotten from therapy thus far, and are looking for something deeper and more effective. I combine psychotherapy with Somatic Experiencing, attachment focused EMDR and Cranioscaral Therapy to help my clients heal on the mind and body levels for optimal results. Healing is possible even if your issues seem insurmountable. Trust that you can reach wholeness and well-being again.
