You may be a student who is doing your best to keep up with classes, work, relationships, and other expectations, while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. Maybe you put a lot of pressure on yourself, have difficulty slowing down, or keep finding yourself in the same painful patterns with family, friends, or partners. You may also be navigating cultural or family expectations while trying to figure out what you want for yourself.

I work especially well with students who are thoughtful, self-reflective, and interested in understanding themselves more deeply. In therapy, we can look at what is contributing to your stress, how past experiences may still affect you, and what might help you feel more grounded and confident in your choices. My style is warm, collaborative, and active—I won’t just sit back and listen, but will work with you to make sense of what is happening and find practical ways forward.

I have 15 years of clinical experience, including nearly eight years working with college and graduate students at the Brandeis University Counseling Center. I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, academic stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, perfectionism, and cultural adjustment. I am bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are already carrying a lot. Feeling comfortable and understood matters. If this sounds like what you are looking for, I welcome you to reach out and see whether we might be a good fit.
