Judes Santiago
Hello! I am a Practicum Therapist in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Abilene Christian University. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families on their healing journeys, with a particular focus on those impacted by trauma.
What can you expect in the therapy room: Empathy, trust-building, and commitment to your personal growth. I utilize Structural/ Strategic Family Therapies as well as postmodern approaches that emphasize metacommunication. With a background in people management/leadership, I bring strong intrapersonal/interpersonal skills in communication, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and behavioral motivation to the therapeutic space. Experience leading diverse teams has deepened my empathy, adaptability, and ability to hold space for others.
A little bit about me: I am actively involved in philanthropic and community initiatives, serving as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ambassador and ADHD Advocate, further shaping a commitment to serving marginalized and underserved populations and making a positive impact in people’s lives.
Fun facts: I was born in Guam due to my military father and have lived in several states across the U.S. I consider Florida my home, California where I learned how to “adult,” and Texas where I have decided to settle since 2020. I have a husband and a cat, and enjoy going outdoors together.
I am looking forward to helping you on your healing journey!
