This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Clinical Social Work/Therapists
There is strength in experiences of trauma and marginalization. Amidst systems built to dehumanize us, therapy can be a space of resistance that fosters reflection and unearths empowerment. My role is to follow your lead as you define wellness for yourself. With curiosity and compassion, we will map your visions while seeking insight from our past to build strategies and navigate challenges and transitions.
Informed by my own QTPOC identities, I see each person as part of a historical, collective, and cultural ecosystem. I welcome the nuanced voices of all your identities and selves. Foundational to my practice is the therapeutic relationship. From children to adults, I see this authentic connection as a site that models and manifests boundaries, accountability, care, repair, play, and joy. I see our body as a source of self-knowledge and use somatic approaches to locate safety and regulation. As a person-centered therapist, I draw from multiple modalities including psychodynamic, feminist, cognitive behavioral, acceptance & commitment, attachment, and internal family systems. I encourage creative and expressive approaches to healing. I also have deep interests in intergenerational trauma, racial trauma, the neurobiology of trauma, and relational cultural theory.
As the great educator Bell Hooks said, “No one heals in isolation.” Along with our therapeutic relationship, I support interpersonal and community relationships in the spirit of social justice. I see de-stigmatizing mental health as important and seek to challenge dominant narratives of self and collective care.
Terrains of violence, trauma, and harm are daunting. With trust and transparency, recognizing my privilege as your therapist, I would be honored to travel beside you.
