Chelsea Totaro
People I work with come to me feeling stuck - second-guessing every decision, replaying conversations in their heads, or feeling like they’ve lost touch with the version of themselves they want to be. Sometimes it’s a big life change, sometimes it’s a quiet, constant heaviness, and sometimes it’s the grief of losing someone, human or animal, who meant everything. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that connection is one of the most powerful tools for healing. I draw from evidence-based methods, but also from lived experience, intuition, and the connection we build together.
I help people find their voice, challenge that inner critic, and take steps toward a life that feels more like their own. This space also honors the profound bond between people and animals, whether it’s exploring the role of an ESA or navigating the grief of losing a beloved companion. Every one of these relationships deserves to be recognized.
As a daughter of an immigrant, I understand how culture, identity, and lived experience shape our stories. Each person I work with adds to my understanding of what it means to be human. You deserve a space where your whole self - your identity, your history, your joy, your pain is truly seen. Therapy doesn't need to feel clinical to cause change. It can be creative, playful, HUMAN.
*I am currently enrolled in a post-master's program in Veterinary Social Work to deepen my ability to support clients, and to understand the healing connection between people and animals.*
